Pangu: Danger, Stay By My Side

As time went on, the anomalies within Chaos grew more frequent.

Sometimes, ripples would suddenly appear on the defensive barrier outside the cave, clearly indicating powerful energy aftershocks impacting it. Other times, deafening roars could be heard from afar, their inherent pressure making even Lin Yue's heart pound.

Lin Yue could feel the atmosphere in Chaos becoming increasingly tense, as if a great storm was on the horizon.

One day, while he was practicing his movement techniques outside the cave, the ground suddenly began to shake violently. The sky in the distance turned blood-red, and a terrifying pressure swept over him, making it difficult to breathe.

The defensive barrier flickered intensely, seeming like it could shatter at any moment.

"What's going on?" Lin Yue exclaimed in alarm, quickly retreating back into the cave.

As soon as he entered, he saw Pangu open his eyes, gazing gravely towards the outside. This was the first time Lin Yue had ever seen Pangu wear such a serious expression, and a strong sense of unease immediately welled up within him.

"Senior, what happened outside?" Lin Yue asked, his voice trembling.

Pangu didn't answer immediately. Instead, a majestic aura emanated from his body, infusing the defensive barrier. The barrier, which had been flickering violently, immediately stabilized, emitting a softer yet more resilient glow.

After doing all this, Pangu finally spoke slowly, his voice laced with gravity, "Demon Gods are fighting nearby. The commotion is too great."

"Demon Gods?!" Lin Yue's face turned pale. "Will... will they fight their way here?"

"Not for now," Pangu replied. "Their target isn't here, but the aftershocks of their battle are already affecting us." He paused, looking at Lin Yue, his tone serious. "For the days to come, do not stray more than ten feet from me. Danger could descend at any moment."

Lin Yue's heart tightened, and he quickly nodded. "I understand, Senior." He dared not be careless in the slightest. If even Senior Pangu was this vigilant, it meant the danger was extraordinary.

He immediately set up a simple training area beside the rock Pangu meditated on, moving all his belongings there. This way, no matter what happened, he could immediately retreat to Pangu's side.

In the following days, Lin Yue strictly followed Pangu's instructions, staying by his side without leaving. He meditated and absorbed energy nearby during the day, and rested against the rock at night, not daring to slacken in the slightest.

During this time, he attempted to integrate the "Law of Stability" from the Dao Rhyme Fragment into his own energy. He discovered that in this turbulent environment, the Law of Stability seemed to bring him greater peace of mind, made his energy absorption smoother, and kept his Chaos Little Light Orb more stable, preventing it from dissipating easily.

"This Law of Stability is quite useful," Lin Yue rejoiced inwardly. Although it was only a preliminary application, it had benefited him greatly.

As for Pangu, he spent most of his time with his eyes closed, resting. However, Lin Yue could feel that Senior's mental power was constantly surveying their surroundings, on guard against any potential danger.

On one occasion, a bolt of black lightning imbued with terrifying energy struck towards the cave. Although the defensive barrier blocked it, the immense impact still caused the cave to shake violently. Lin Yue's face turned pale with fright, but Pangu merely raised a hand slightly, injecting a golden light into the barrier, which dissolved the impact into nothingness.

Watching Pangu's calm profile, Lin Yue's unease gradually subsided. With Senior by his side, it seemed even the greatest dangers could be handled.

However, he also redoubled his efforts in cultivation. He didn't want to rely on Pangu's protection forever; he wanted to gain the ability to protect himself as soon as possible, to be able to face dangers alongside Senior.

During these tense yet fulfilling days, Lin Yue's cultivation steadily improved, bringing him to the verge of the late stage of High-level Chaos. His application of the Law of Stability also became increasingly proficient.

He knew that once he weathered this period of danger, his strength would undoubtedly undergo a qualitative leap.
