Sometimes, ripples suddenly spread across the defensive barrier outside the cave, clearly struck by the shockwaves of powerful energy. At other times, deafening roars echoed from afar. The pressure contained in those sounds made even Lin Yue's heart tremble.

"What's going on?" Lin Yue was shocked and hurried back into the cave.
As soon as he entered, he saw Pangu open his eyes and gaze solemnly toward the cave's entrance. It was the first time Lin Yue had seen Pangu wear such a serious expression, and a strong sense of unease rose in his heart.
"Senior, what's happening out there?" Lin Yue asked, his voice trembling.
Pangu didn't answer right away. Instead, a vast aura emanated from him and flowed into the defensive barrier. The barrier, which had been flickering violently, quickly steadied, giving off a softer yet more resilient glow.
Only after doing this did Pangu speak, his voice edged with gravity. "Demon Gods are fighting nearby. They're making quite a racket."
"Demon Gods?!" Lin Yue's face paled. "Th-they won't come here, will they?"
"Not for now," Pangu said. "This place isn't their target, but the shockwaves from their battle have already reached us." He paused and looked at Lin Yue, his tone stern. "For the next few days, stay within ten zhang of me. Danger could strike at any moment."
Lin Yue's heart tightened, and he quickly nodded. "I understand, Senior." He didn't dare let his guard down. If even Senior Pangu was this vigilant, the danger must be extraordinary.
He immediately set up a simple cultivation spot beside the rock where Pangu sat in meditation and moved all his belongings over. That way, no matter what happened, he could get to Pangu's side at once.
In the days that followed, Lin Yue strictly followed Pangu's instructions and stayed by his side without leaving. During the day, he meditated nearby and absorbed energy. At night, he rested against the rock, not daring to slack off for even a moment.
During that time, he tried to merge the Law of Stability from the Dao Rhyme Fragment into his own energy. He found that amid the turbulence, the Law of Stability seemed to calm his mind and make absorbing energy smoother. It also made his Chaos Little Light Orb more stable and less likely to disperse.

Pangu, meanwhile, spent most of his time meditating with his eyes closed. But Lin Yue could sense that the senior's mental energy remained spread over the surrounding area, alert to any danger that might appear.
Once, a black bolt of lightning filled with terrifying energy struck toward the cave. The defensive barrier stopped it, but the immense force still made the cave shake violently. Lin Yue turned pale with fright, while Pangu merely raised a hand. A streak of golden light flowed into the barrier, dissipating the impact as if it were nothing.
Watching Pangu's composed profile, Lin Yue felt his unease gradually fade. With the senior by his side, it seemed they could handle any danger, no matter how great.
But he also trained harder. He didn't want to depend on Pangu's protection forever. He wanted to gain the strength to protect himself as soon as possible, so he could face danger alongside the senior.
Through those tense yet productive days, Lin Yue's cultivation steadily improved. He was now just one step away from the Late High-level Chaos stage, and his mastery of the Law of Stability grew increasingly practiced.
