Lin Yue survived the Chaos Era as a remnant soul. He later disclosed that he had accompanied Pangu during Chaos, but deliberately withheld sensitive details of Pangu's assistance and secrets. During that era, Great Immortal Yang Mei taught him space techniques and gave him a Space Spirit Leaf; he also met Su Qingyan, with whom he cultivated and advanced through mutual support. 156 159

Hongjun's sermon led Lin Yue to recognize that the “Chaos Senior” who had aided him was Pangu, the Heaven Opener. Pangu's sacrifice gave Lin Yue a lasting sense of debt and a determination to establish himself in the Primordial Era rather than rely solely on Pangu's legacy. 151 159
