In the Lotus Platform Hall on Spiritual Mountain, the sacred hall that had once been bathed in Buddha-light and filled with the sound of Buddhist chants now held only dim golden light, struggling to flow along its pillars. The nine-petal golden lotus patterns on the floor had long since lost their luster; some had even cracked, exposing the dried spiritual soil beneath. Jieyin and Zhunti sat side by side on a Lotus Platform. The Sage Dao-auras around them were faint and sluggish, and the Buddhist marks between their brows had gone dull.
