Amamiya Natsuki kept his expression neutral. "What do you mean?"

Komie-san spoke softly. "Zhuzhu's eyes are a little red. It looks like she's been crying..."

You can drop the "looks like."

Zhuzhu had definitely been crying.

"Also, Zhuzhu's voice is a little hoarse..."

That was normal.

Just like teachers at school: if they taught for too long and overused their voices, they'd get hoarse.

Komie-san continued, "And there are two strange red marks on Zhuzhu's neck, like wounds..."

That part was wrong.

They weren't wounds, just ordinary marks. They'd fade on their own in a couple of days.

Amamiya Natsuki now understood why Shoko had shown up at the park. As he played with Quail girl's fingers, he said, "You were worried Zhuzhu might be in danger, so you secretly followed her here?"

"Mhm!"

Komie-san nodded quickly.

"A lot happened last night. Zhuzhu was in danger, but luckily I got there in time..." Amamiya Natsuki lowered his voice. "Do you want to know, Shoko?"

"D-danger?"

Komie-san's eyes widened. She clenched her little fists without thinking. "Tell me."

"Come to think of it, we haven't done any desensitization practice since summer vacation started." Amamiya Natsuki pointed at his cheek, shameless as ever. "Practice for a little while, and I'll tell you what danger Zhuzhu faced last night."

"..."

Komie-san's pretty face quickly flushed red as she nervously glanced around.

Back when he teased her before, at least it had been at night. But now it was broad daylight...

She looked around. Thankfully, the park was quiet, with hardly anyone around.

Even so, having Quail girl kiss someone of her own accord in the park in broad daylight was still terribly embarrassing. She couldn't bring herself to do it.

"I'm not going to force you, Shoko." Amamiya Natsuki started to get up.
