Background / History

Natsuki entered the Game as a newcomer alongside Shinomiya Kaguya and Fujiwara Chika. Even early on, he treated Game items pragmatically: he accepted an otherwise unimpressive Cat Ear Hairpin as part of an exchange, while noting that he would have helped regardless. The hairpin could make its wearer appear as a cat to vengeful spirits, subject to compatibility. 12 36

His early survival strategy centered on cooperation, accumulating skills, and finding unconventional uses for weak-looking rewards. After obtaining Touch of Fate, he became able to copy other Players’ abilities and paste temporary skills onto allies, making him a major source of support for the Player Mutual Aid Group. 118 222

Natsuki ran for and won the position of Student Council President with Koyasu Tsubame’s help on his campaign speech. He later appointed Kashiwagi as Student Council Treasurer, citing her professional competence and discretion. 326 327

As supernatural incidents escalated, he became the first Player to formally cooperate with the Supernatural Story Management Bureau. His strength, extensive skill collection, and willingness to distribute defensive abilities earned him widespread recognition among Players as “Brother Leg.” 777 779

During an incident involving a parallel world devastated by the Catastrophe of Supernatural Stories, Natsuki helped survivors acquire Rain Children’s raincoats, cured Ryuzaki Mom’s curse with the Truth Mirror, and returned after three days to brief officials on the other world’s destruction. 1012 1036

Personality

Natsuki is calm, observant, and highly pragmatic. He prefers gathering information, testing abilities, and preparing contingencies before confronting danger. He openly displays his skills when doing so can secure trust or rally allies, rather than relying on secrecy for its own sake. 519 529 719

He is also teasing, shameless, and manipulative in casual interactions, frequently provoking Hayasaka Ai, Fujiwara Chika, Koyasu Tsubame, and others for a reaction. His tactics can be underhanded, such as exploiting Ryuzaki Mom’s concern for Tsubame to force cooperation. 248 417 1019

Despite rejecting the image of a selfless superhero, Natsuki repeatedly acts to protect others. He helps vulnerable Players, rescues civilians in dangerous instances, distributes skills and safety items, and endures severe pain to secure his companions’ escape. 736 773 1059 1094

  • Natsuki used it to endure ten minutes of extreme pain inflicted by Yamada without collapsing immediately. 1094 1095
