The two Chikas immediately tensed up.
Amamiya Natsuki glanced at the box and said casually:
"Probably a mouse. Don't worry about it."
"That didn't sound like a mouse." Chika on the bed looked nervous. "That was really loud just now, Natsuki. Hurry and check."
"All right."
Amamiya Natsuki shrugged and walked over to the box that had just made the strange noise.
It was made of plastic, not wood, and sat in the corner. It was quite large and looked oddly familiar.
Amamiya Natsuki studied it carefully. The longer he looked, the more familiar it seemed, until he finally remembered where he'd seen it...
"Isn't this the box Chika uses to store snacks?"
As a true snack-loving girl, Chika naturally kept plenty of snacks at home. A long time ago, when Amamiya Natsuki had gone to her house to help drive an evil spirit out of her room, he'd seen her snack-storage box. That was right—this was the very same thing.
It seemed this nightmare wasn't entirely made up from scratch. It could also read the "guest's" memories for details, making its illusions seem real.
Come to think of it, when he and Chika got married, would she really bring the snack box with her?
Amamiya Natsuki thought about it for two seconds and came to a conclusion.
Very likely.
As he grumbled to himself, Amamiya Natsuki reached out and opened the plastic box.
The next second.
A pink-haired girl in pajamas, curled up inside the snack box, came into view.
"Well, would you look at that..."
Amamiya Natsuki took a deep breath and pulled Chika out of the box.
There weren't just two Chikas. There was a third one in the room, too.
"Natsuki, don't believe them." The Chika from the box clung nervously to Amamiya Natsuki's arm, her
