Amamiya Natsuki had only glanced twice before Shoko noticed. The Quail girl's pretty face instantly flushed red. Flustered and embarrassed, she covered her chest, then stumbled over her own feet, nearly falling.
"Careful."
Amamiya Natsuki reacted swiftly and caught the Quail girl in his arms.
Caught in Amamiya Natsuki's arms, the Quail girl panicked and made a rather terrible decision: she closed her eyes.
Closing your eyes when you're in danger? You're practically inviting someone to take advantage of you!
Looking at the Quail girl's pretty face, red as fire, and her long eyelashes fluttering nervously, Amamiya Natsuki felt heat rush through him. Unable to resist, he lowered his head and kissed her.
"Mmm..."
The Quail girl's eyelashes trembled. She had no idea how to resist; all she could do was close her eyes and play ostrich, then grip Amamiya Natsuki's right hand tightly to keep it from wandering.
A moment later.
Amamiya Natsuki suddenly let go of Shoko, straightened the wrinkles in her pajamas, then sat properly on the other side of the low table.
"Huh?"
The Quail girl opened her eyes in confusion. Her gaze was hazy, and she couldn't understand why Amamiya Natsuki had suddenly stopped.
A few seconds later.
A knock sounded in the hallway, followed by Mrs. Komie's cheerful voice:
"Shoko, open the door. Mom's coming in~"
The Quail girl's face flushed red. Only then did she remember they were at her house. She hurriedly stood up, straightened her pajamas, and went to open the door.
"Mom brought you some fruit."
Mrs. Komie held a plate of washed grapes and sliced apples. She handed the fruit to Shoko and said with a smile:
"You and Little Natsuki have fun. I'll go get lunch ready."
Komie-san immediately panicked and stammered:
"I-I'll come help!"
