Background & History

The Main World is the technologically developed world from which Lin Ze originates. After binding with the Gates to Heavens, he identifies the productivity gap between the Main World and the agrarian Great Zhou world as an opportunity for cross-world trade: inexpensive modern spices and goods can be exchanged for valuable medicinal herbs, ingredients, and precious metals 1.

Lin Ze initially maintains a legitimate public cover for his imports. He personally establishes himself as a matsutake merchant, then moves matsutake and Large Yellow Croaker through registered customs channels in Tiannan City 12 78. Profits from these businesses finance his expansion into mining, shipping, security, and industrial procurement 91 99.

When Lin Ze establishes his first secure base in a Grotto-Heaven, he formalizes the naming system: the base is World No. 0, the Main World becomes World No. 1, and the Great Zhou world becomes World No. 2 131.

The Main World’s political order changes after Lin Ze publicly demonstrates his power during the anti-terrorism operation against the Red Headscarf Pirate Group and the Seventh Carrier Fleet. Global representatives approve the Human Destiny Joint Community—also called the Human Federation—with Lin Ze as chairman and the Gates to Heavens Mall as its permanent director 170 96.

Lin Ze subsequently announces World No. 2 to the public and recruits Main World residents to participate in its development, offering employment, resource access, and the opportunity to learn martial arts 96. Long-term Gates to Heavens channels are later established between Yulin City in World No. 1 and Fengping County in World No. 2, with ten personnel channels and ten material-transport channels 173.

Over the following 123 years, the Main World, World No. 2, and World No. 3 are developed together. Their populations and resources are integrated into the Gates to Heavens Mall system, supporting a planetary-scale industrial system, comprehensive monitoring, controlled nuclear fusion, space elevators, and interstellar spacecraft 176.
