That was because they all knew that whenever a fight broke out, they could always count on these oddballs from another world.

Especially when the players risked the increasingly dangerous sea of insects to drag back soldiers who should have been beyond saving. Every soldier who had once cursed them would apologize in the most abashed manner. Little did they know that these heroic battles and noble rescues were nothing more than "quests from the damn devs."

For the development team, though, coordinating interactions among so many players and triggering real-time quests was a terrifying challenge in every sense.

Murphy had just opened his eyes in Triss's warm embrace, ready to greet the new day refreshed, when Lady Rose's "loser's wail" sounded in his ear.

Her weak, frantic tone startled him. As he searched beside the bed for his clothes and put them on, he asked curiously:
