A-Cha'en's post had been up for less than five minutes before it became the day's hottest thread. Every player who had logged off or hadn't logged in yet was furiously discussing the "affinity formula" A-Cha'en had put together.
They had no complaints about the methods A-Cha'en listed for improving relations with the other NPCs. The only thing they took issue with was the omission of "Lord Murphy."
Meow Brother: Why didn't you list Lord Murphy's likes? Come on, write another ten bucks' worth. I'm waiting to read it.
Lumina Sunscar: Obviously A-Cha wants to keep Lord Murphy's affection all to himself. Wow, what a cunning little flirt.
A-Cha'en: Stop slandering me! It's not that I don't want to write about him. It's just that, so far, Lord Murphy hasn't shown any particular fondness for anything.
If I had to say, he seems pretty interested in some of our customs.
A few guys have said weird things, and he's questioned them about it, which got really awkward. I guess that's because his AI is unique?
Duo Dao Le San Wu Dou: Wrong! Lord Murphy does have something he likes. You just haven't noticed!
A-Cha'en: ??? No way! I've been watching him closely. There's no way I'd miss something that obvious. Tell me, what does Lord Murphy like?
Duo Dao Le San Wu Dou: Heh, isn't it obvious? He likes Lady Triss! Haven't you seen how Lord Murphy turns into a little baby whenever those two NPCs are together? So I guess their personal fame must be linked.
Maybe once Lady Triss's affinity reaches a certain level, we'll unlock the option to give Lord Murphy gifts.
At the very least, we can sound her out. Lord Murphy is her bloodkin. Who could know her own child better than she does?
A-Cha'en: !!!
