The biggest talking point was that the 200 slots for freely recruiting players, which had been available to guilds in the first two Hall of Fame selections, had been replaced with NPC recruitment. This left Lord Qin, who had been looking forward to it, deeply disappointed.

He figured the dev team had noticed his little maneuver and changed the benefit to prevent "professionals" from bypassing approval and exploiting a bug to get into the game quickly.

But the truth wasn't nearly as complicated as he imagined.

Murphy simply didn't have many spare slots left to offer players for free recruitment. Once he had more room to spare, the benefit would be brought back.

The players' second point of discussion was a little more unusual.

As expected, most of the third Hall of Fame inductees were veteran players. Only veterans could have survived the absurd intensity of the late stages of the Blackflame Pass siege. But one of the inductees was a newbie in every sense of the word: "Qing Dynasty Veteran." That left people a little dumbfounded.

Before long, accusations of "rigging" and "having someone else grind the achievements" started circulating. Some even claimed Lord Qin had pulled strings to get his adjutant in, while others on the forums speculated about how ridiculously powerful Lord Qin's real-life identity must be.

Those rumors and doubts were quickly crushed by a statistical table Bang Ge posted on the forums.

It was a very unusual table. Rather than recording the number of enemies killed, it tracked battlefield honors, as well as the casualties and spoils from each battle. The dozen or so players included were all focused on command, and hoped to pursue the "Military Command" career path in Transia.
