The Silvermoon Company's plan to set out at midnight ultimately fell through.

It wasn't because they lacked initiative, but because "well-connected" Madam Judy had started a drinking contest at the tavern. At first, it had just been a face-off between the Silvermoon Company and the Big Bird Company. But after Madam Judy single-handedly drank Meow Brother and his three good buddies under the table, the contest entered a fiery second stage, eventually sweeping in everyone in the tavern.

Sister Pomegranate and Cat Brother were evenly matched in every way, and naturally, drinking was no exception.

By the end, the whole tavern was full of people sprawled on the floor, babbling nonsense. A few drunks had even wandered into the pigsty by the entrance and fallen asleep hugging the pigs. When Brother Huo and a certain Yuan hurried over after hearing the news and pushed open the tavern door, the smug tavern keeper was there to present them with the bill.

It was a truly astronomical bar tab.

Well, in a fully immersive game, drinking could of course lead to all sorts of strange consequences. For instance, as Brother Huo carried his babbling wife out of the tavern, Madam Shui was still whispering in his ear:

"When that shadow elf said she wanted to have a threesome, you were actually willing, weren't you, you naughty thing?"
