Three days flew by. When the players logged back into Transia, the city had already been besieged by the gnoll vanguard for a full day and night.
The good news was that the gnolls had no siege weapons, while Scarlet Keep had the Serenade Barrier Murphy had hidden away earlier. That made it impossible for the fierce gnolls to enter the city and run amok.
The bad news was that Murphy had only three psionic conversion cores for the Serenade Barrier, and Triss would soon deliberately overload them to unleash a psionic storm capable of tearing open the Astral Plane.
The situation was about to reach its most dangerous point—for both Scarlet Keep and the gnolls.
"Ding!"
Invincible Tyrannosaurus Car opened his eyes in a flash of light. The instant he returned to the beloved land of Transia, a notification from his calculation orb made him lower his head sharply.
Psionics Call to Arms! All psionics users who have received this order must report immediately to Lady Triss at the psionic core beneath the Scarlet Corridor!
Scarlet Keep is in danger. The Blood Eagle Clan and all of Transia need your help!
"Huh? Why are they calling all the psionics users together?"
Car asked, eyes wide.
"I've got a feeling something big is about to go down."
"Why are you asking me? We'll find out when we get there, won't we?"
Leading Pigeon was also a psionics user. He ran to the "storage cabinet," retrieved his equipment, and put it on. Then he stuffed the "loot" he had stored there into his arms and followed Car to report to Lady Triss.
And it wasn't just the two of them.
Every player with a psionics-related class had been summoned, whether vampire or Old Church believer.
