Murphy had easily "conned" two of the more distinctive groups among the players into becoming the first test subjects for his "targeted training" program.
He was quite pleased with himself.
As the lord, he had weighed all the relevant factors before making this decision. He believed his arrangements were almost certain to go off without a hitch.
But that wasn't the only assignment Murphy needed to complete this time. After finishing his conversation with Happy Rod, the "war maniac," he started a new group on the forum. He also added "Assistant Triss," who had been sneakily lurking in the forum, and casually made her a group admin.
In a private message on the forum, he said to his rookie assistant, "Little Triss":
"Could you at least try to act the part? Someone already messaged me asking who you are. You're usually pretty clever! If there are things you don't understand, don't go out of your way to give yourself away."
Assistant Triss: Waaaah, I didn't know! Who knew your little players were so sharp? They saw through me after just a few sentences! Those little guys are all so knowledgeable. Everything they talked about was a blind spot for me. This is the first time I've realized my blind spots are so vast. I'm practically a pitiful illiterate.
But do they have vampire legends over there too?
I just finished reading the collection of Dracula stories Little Lumina sent me, and watched two psionic movies, whatever they were called—Bram Stoker's Dracula and Van Helsing. Not to complain, but they made us vampires look way too ugly! And if Witch Hunters were really that powerful, what would vampires even be doing around?
Alpha: They're called "movies"! They're a form of entertainment over there. Don't give yourself away again. Add "role-playing enthusiast"
