Company Commander Huang’s soldiers completed a virtual-reality battle drill, shared tactics with other units, and earned a higher score after killing a Fallen Elf Matriarch. In Transia, General He’s misplaced unit helped defend Riptide Fortress and prepared to face an approaching swarm of Chaos flying insects.
Giant Shark and the player squads raced to reinforce the Daughters of Glory, where Fallen Sentinels were attacking Lord Murphy. After crashing into the hunter-cruiser and arming themselves from Ersha’s private arsenal, the players fought their way through the ship and encountered Old Vam joining the battle.
Wamu and Fiona arrived to reinforce the Order faction, while the Chaos Shadows forcibly transformed Juliana into a Chaos god and sent her after Murphy. Juliana reached the bridge only to find Murphy gone and Maxim waiting, revealing that the battle had been bait and Murphy’s whereabouts remained unknown.
Fiona and Lao Wa abandoned the Sentry Hunter vessel to help protect the Astral Colossus, while Maxim delayed Juliana long enough for Murphy’s forces to strike her warship. Juliana reached the Daughter of Shame too late, and Great Shark stumbled upon a hidden chamber containing Lady Ersha.
Vidia tried to seize the World Tree Seed and make the Star Realm its divine kingdom, but Bor and the Old Gods opposed it. Vidia reached the treehouse only to be confronted by Paine, Lady Lily, and Old Edward, while Bor blocked its call to Chaos.
Giant Shark freed Lady Elsa from her hidden cell aboard the Daughter of Shame, and she joined Hettis and Murphy in fighting Juliana. Elsa defeated Juliana and vowed to drag her into the Lightless Sea, even if doing so meant her own destruction.
Elsa refused to return to the Sentinel Legion after killing the corrupted Juliana and joined Murphy’s journey into the Lightless Sea. As the Crimson Dawn raced toward the Chaos core, Old Ao and the other gods and players opened a path through Glutton and Longevity, allowing the ship to slip into the depths.
Murphy and Ersha traveled deeper into the Lightless Sea to find the Omega as the crew transformed into Warp life and a Chaos Shadow passed the Scarlet Dawn. Meanwhile, the defenders lost the Star Colossus, the Seed of the Astral Realm reached 56% maturity, and Old Qin awaited Murphy as the material world's forces ran short of reinforcements.
Murphy prepared to leave the Crimson Dawn with Elsa and travel on foot toward the Omega through the Sea of Lightlessness, while reassuring his companions that he would return. After saying goodbye to Triss, Adele, and Shani, he joined Elsa on the bridge, ready to continue the dangerous journey.
Murphy and Elsa reached the Omega in the Lightless Sea, where they activated the Entropy Converter and encountered Elsa’s sister. The converter began replenishing Order’s power as a Worldgate enhancement started.
As the Astral Realm defenders faced annihilation, Bole urged the Genesis Engine to begin reshaping the plane, while Sister Cement hoped Murphy’s promised trump card would arrive. The reserve manpower suddenly surged to infinity, revealing that Murphy had sent an endless stream of foreign heroes into the war and turned the battle in their favor.
Cat Brother and the other players returned to the Astral Realm with unrestricted respawns, buying time for the Astral Tree to remake their world. As Chaos retreated and the reshaping began, Old Ma and Uncle Yincha unveiled a devastating weapon in the material world.
Murphy awoke aboard the Omega after the war and learned that his victories had earned him the chance to inherit the Creator’s authority, though the role came with a final trial and the burden of guarding the Lightless Sea. At the end of the passage, he faced Original Sin inhabiting Mairiding’s body.
Murphy confronted Original Sin in the passage to the Creator, arguing that the past should be remembered rather than erased and offering to preserve its history. Original Sin let him pass, and Murphy entered the light carrying a mysterious crystal as Rinko and Eulsha prepared for the Omega to sail toward the future.
Murphy met with the Creator, learned how the Shadow Brotherhood had created the linked worlds and what responsibilities awaited him, then chose to return to his own universe as its guardian. He left with a new mission to find the End and hoped Triss was waiting for him at home.
After thirty-seven days in the Lightless Sea, Murphy returned to the Scarlet Dawn and reunited with Triss and Adele, then returned to Transia as the world continued recovering from the astral war. He left Mirian to handle the news of his return quietly while he took over her work, and the chapter ended with the blood moon shining over the city.
After returning from the Lightless Sea, Murphy planned to let the players search for him as a future quest while he and his companions stayed behind as observers. He opened the Creator’s completion chest, found a helmet for entering the other world, and prepared to launch Real Otherworld.
Murphy entered Blue Star through the Alpha Corporation’s VR system and traveled to the wedding celebration, where he reunited with his friends and promised that the next story would unfold across two worlds. He left them with fireworks overhead and declared that he would protect their world from future suffering.
The author announced that he would give up his high-output “tentacle monster” writing routine to rest and protect his health. He thanked readers for their support and said he would return with another book after recovering.
