He showed her the Golden Ring.
The mermaid fixed her gaze on the ring and nodded slightly.
"It truly is the God of Life's ring. There's no doubt about it. Please present it to me."
The King had just taken off the ring when he seemed to remember something and shook his head. "In my sealed memories, I don't think this step was necessary."

The trident pierced the King's body, pinning him firmly to the ground.
