The Bronze Hall
A flash of green light flickered through the hall and vanished.
Several figures appeared.
Gu Qingshan, Ye Ruxi, Zhang Yinghao, Ye Feili, Soul Screamer, and Flame Walker.
Ye Ruxi folded her arms. "Now you can start trying to communicate with the Waiters."
Everyone looked around.
The entire hall was cast from bronze, vast and desolate, stretching so far that its end was nowhere in sight.
Statues stood motionless throughout the Bronze Hall.
They were all different in shape. Some looked human, others were monsters no one had ever seen, and some were neither monsters nor humans—their true nature was impossible to guess.
Gu Qingshan spotted a sphere covered in spikes, wedged inside a triangular frame cast from bronze.
Was that a Waiter too?
The others were secretly taken aback, but soon composed themselves.
—Incredible. These Waiters had created chaos.
Once they considered that, the bizarre statues became a little easier to accept.
Soul Screamer asked, "Is there anything we need to watch out for?"
Ye Ruxi said, "No. It just depends on whether the statue takes a liking to you when you touch it."
Soul Screamer and Flame Walker looked unconvinced.
Ye Ruxi, however, shut her mouth and said no more.
She secretly used telepathy to whisper to Gu Qingshan and the other two: "Be respectful. Tell the statues in your hearts that you crave power, and that you want to do more for the Era of Chaos."
The three understood.
For the moment, no one moved.
They seemed to be examining the various statues. After all, their chance of attaining Chaos Godhood depended on what fate had in store for them this time.
—This was an extremely delicate moment.
The next second.
At last, someone moved!
Gu Qingshan surged forward, pouring all his Spiritual Power into
