When Hao Shuai brought the surviving Anteverse being before him, the creature—let's call him Extra A—just kept shouting in some unintelligible language. Who knew what he was saying?

It turned out that Extra A and two other Anteverse beings were responsible for managing the weapons factory below them, where Kaiju were bred.
A few years earlier, after the humans on Earth had destroyed the wormhole, the Anteverse beings had suffered two consecutive defeats. They had learned from their mistakes and decided that when they opened the wormhole next time, they would commit everything to a single, decisive assault—sending every Kaiju to Earth at once and giving humanity no chance to fight back.
For the past few years, the entire planet of Anteverse had been working under the Anteverse beings' orders to produce Kaiju and store enough energy to open multiple wormholes at once.
They had set the date for their third invasion three months from now.
Hao Shuai could say that his return to the Pacific Rim world had saved Earth, even if only by accident.
After learning this, Hao Shuai himself felt incredibly lucky that he'd followed a sudden whim and come back at just the
