"Bang!"
The moment Hao Shuai reappeared, before he could even observe his surroundings, he felt as if he'd been hit by something. He flew back two or three meters before landing face-first on the ground.
"I'm so sorry, are you okay? You suddenly appeared in the middle of the road, and I couldn't brake in time to avoid hitting you!" As Hao Shuai's head was spinning from the impact, he heard a clear voice from nearby.
Hao Shuai finally managed to flip over and sit up, shaking his dazed head. He felt fortunate that his Golden Bell Shield Iron Cloth Shirt was already mastered, allowing him to emerge unscathed. Otherwise, he would have likely ended up either "getting his lunch box" or severely injured.
At the same time, he grumbled about the Chaos Bead becoming increasingly unreliable for his traversals. This time it was a traffic accident; who knew what would happen next! What if he ended up on a battlefield or in outer space! It seemed he really needed to focus on strengthening his physical body.
Once Hao Shuai regained his senses and looked at the driver, he realized it was a female driver. She appeared to be a youthful girl of about sixteen or seventeen, with a sky-blue ponytail and a pink dress. Her face was young and delicate.
Seeing that face, Hao Shuai knew who it was.
Hao Shuai felt his luck was truly good. He had just arrived in this world and immediately encountered his target – the genius, infatuated girl, Bulma.
That's right, the world Hao Shuai had arrived in was the world of "Dragon Ball." As a representative work of Japanese anime, Akira Toriyama's "Dragon Ball" undoubtedly carried the childhood memories of countless people. The humorous stories and adventures of Goku and his companions revolving around the treasure known as the Dragon Ball captivated hearts, evoking laughter and passion while also prompting deep reflection.
While nostalgia was one reason for Hao Shuai's journey to this world, his primary goals were the Dragon Balls and the beautiful girl before him. This genius girl, after hearing rumors of the Dragon Balls, was capable of independently creating the Dragon Radar and, later, even machines that could travel through time and space.
"Oh my gosh! What a handsome boy!" Seeing Hao Shuai staring intently at her, Bulma felt instantly smitten. Blushing, she shyly lowered her head.
"I-I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you. My name is Bulma, I'm from West City, and I'm sixteen years old. I don't have a boyfriend yet." Bulma apologized, covering her flushed cheeks, her eyes not daring to meet Hao Shuai's.
"I'm fine. It's not your fault; it was my sudden appearance that caused it. By the way, my name is Hao Shuai." Hao Shuai knew it wasn't Bulma's fault; it was his own.
"S-so polite... Mr. Hao... So... so handsome..." Her simple reply made Bulma's face even redder, lost in thought.
Seeing Bulma's reaction, Hao Shuai gained a clear understanding of her infatuated nature. No wonder she'd thought of using the Dragon Balls to wish for a boyfriend! Could a normal person do such a thing?!
He figured with his looks, she probably wouldn't refuse his request to help modify Red Queen.
"Mr. Hao, can you stand up now?" Bulma, finally snapping out of her daze, asked.
"I can stand, but my leg still hurts a bit! I probably can't walk for a while." Hao Shuai feigned a limp.
"Then hop in my car! I'll give you a ride." Bulma said expectantly.
"Thank you very much then!" Hao Shuai replied politely and, with Bulma's help, got into her car, a small vehicle resembling a Volkswagen Beetle.
"Mr. Hao, where are you going?" Bulma asked, sneaking glances at Hao Shuai as she drove.
"Just call me Brother Hao! I'll call you Bulma. I don't have a fixed destination; I'm just traveling and exploring everywhere I go!" Hao Shuai fibbed.
"Brother Hao, I'm also out exploring and treasure hunting. Why don't we go together?" Bulma seized the opportunity to invite him, thinking inwardly how wonderful it would be to explore with Brother Hao.
"Alright then! I don't have a specific goal anyway, so let's go together!" Hao Shuai agreed immediately, inwardly musing: This is the best part about hot-blooded, comedic anime worlds – making friends is so casual, without any pretense.
As the two chatted idly, a small boy dragging a large fish appeared in the middle of the road ahead. Bulma, still sneaking glances at Hao Shuai, didn't notice.
"Bulma, brake! There's someone ahead!" Hao Shuai quickly warned.
Bulma looked ahead and slammed on the brakes, but unfortunately, due to the speed, she still sent the boy and his fish flying seven or eight meters.
"I... I hit someone again!" Bulma gripped the steering wheel, her eyes squeezed shut in panic.
"Don't worry! That little boy is fine!" Hao Shuai patted Bulma's shoulder. Internally, he couldn't help but feel speechless; this was a classic display of road rage from Bulma!
"He's alive!" Hearing Hao Shuai, Bulma poked her head out the car window to look at the boy, exclaiming in surprise.
"Okay, let's get out and take a look!" Hao Shuai saw the boy wearing a blue and purple martial arts uniform, a white belt, a short staff strapped to his back, and a fluffy tail. Coupled with his typical spiky hair, he knew exactly who Bulma had hit. Knowing that the boy would soon lift the car and throw it, Hao Shuai quickly said to Bulma.
The little boy, who had been approaching with an aggressive demeanor, was suddenly taken aback to see two people emerge from what he considered a monster. He didn't know how to react.
"I'm sorry, little brother, for hitting you! Are you okay?" Hao Shuai asked.
"I'm fine!" the boy replied blankly.
"Little brother, what's your name?"
"Big brother, my name is Son Goku!" the boy said innocently to Hao Shuai.
It really was Son Goku, the protagonist of this world. Speaking of which, the power levels in the Dragon Ball world were truly insane. It was okay in the early stages, but once Vegeta arrived on Earth, planets started getting blown up left and right. Destroying a planet became as easy as squishing a tomato; if you couldn't blow up a planet, you wouldn't dare call yourself a martial artist.
Especially this Son Goku before him; he could already withstand bullets now, and in just a few years, he would develop into someone who could casually destroy planets. He was truly monstrous.
No, he's a Saiyan, a monstrous race by nature.
Fortunately, he had transmigrated to the early stages of Dragon Ball. The Son Goku who would become god-like in the future was, at this moment, merely an innocent, mischievous child. As long as he didn't court disaster himself, it should be relatively safe for now.
"Can I call you Goku? My name is Hao Shuai, and this is my friend Bulma." Hao Shuai introduced himself.
As Hao Shuai spoke, Goku circled the two of them, examining them.
"Hmm? Why don't you guys have tails? Just like Grandpa, you don't have tails!" Goku then reached out to pat Hao Shuai's behind.
Hao Shuai quickly jumped away and said, "Uh, not everyone has a tail!"
Well, Hao Shuai didn't know how to explain it. Fortunately, Goku didn't dwell on the tail issue.
"Why did you come out of a monster's belly?" Goku asked, tapping the car door curiously.
"This isn't a monster; it's my car." Bulma, having just recovered from the car accident, quickly stopped him as she saw Goku forcefully tapping her car.
"A car? Is this the car Grandpa was talking about? Are you from the city?" Goku asked.
"Yes!" Bulma replied.
"Okay, come to my house for a visit! You're from the city, and I've never seen anyone besides Grandpa. I'll treat you specially." Goku happily invited them.
"Then thank you for your hospitality, Goku!" Hao Shuai replied.
Seeing that Hao Shuai had agreed, Bulma didn't voice any objections. Her mind was completely filled with Hao Shuai's image now, and she had no interest in searching for Dragon Balls.
When Goku saw that Hao Shuai and the others had agreed, he ran to the big fish, hoisted it onto his shoulder, and led the way. Hao Shuai and Bulma followed behind in their car.
"Brother Hao, why are we going to this strange person's house as guests?" Bulma asked Hao Shuai curiously from the car, having just snapped back to reality.
"Goku seems simple and hospitable, and it's hard to refuse. Besides, didn't you say there was a Dragon Ball nearby? Goku should live around here, and we can ask him for help finding it," Hao Shuai said, pulling the wool over her eyes. He couldn't exactly say he knew Goku had a Dragon Ball at his home!
