A true battle between gods could never be captured by the handful of special effects in a movie. It was far more magnificent and spectacular than any plot could convey.
Just look at Diana and Ares now, their battle growing fiercer by the moment. One summoned a hundred-meter-long sword aura with her divine power, sweeping it across the battlefield; the other merely had to make a casual gesture, and countless pieces of metal came raining down.
Sword flashes, firelight, and explosions crisscrossed the scene. The spectacle was truly grand.
This was far more thrilling than watching a movie. It was just a shame that the heart of the battlefield was now deserted. The German soldiers weren't stupid; they knew perfectly well that ordinary mortals like them had no business getting close to a fight like this. They'd taken off as soon as they realized something was wrong.
The only spectator left was Hao Shuai. If he hadn't been afraid Diana would settle the score with him afterward, he'd have loved to pull out a stool and some melon seeds to snack on.
But now that Steve was about to become a hero who'd go off to his death, Hao Shuai blurred forward and appeared in front of Steve and the others.
"It's you, Hao Shuai!" Steve recognized that remarkably handsome face in the darkness at a glance and exclaimed in delight.
"Steve, you've done well!" Hao Shuai patted Steve on the shoulder and praised him. "I'm very pleased with how you handled things with Diana."
"It was the least I could do." Steve replied modestly, then looked at Hao Shuai with hopeful eyes. "Since you're here, can you help us deal with the poison gas bombs on the plane?"
