Knowing Red Queen wouldn't be done anytime soon, Hao Shuai wandered around the Kryptonian scout ship to kill time, getting a good look at its exterior in the process.
He had to admit, alien technology was impressive. This was only a scout ship, yet it was over three hundred meters long—the same length as the most advanced warships humanity could build at the moment.
The ship's overall design leaned toward the dark side. Hao Shuai couldn't tell whether that was a matter of Kryptonian taste or simply the style of the DC Universe. Its black exterior, faintly glowing with a deep blue light, looked mysterious, giving off an inscrutable solemnity and an indescribable sense of oppression.
Hao Shuai gently ran his hand over the ship. The strange metal felt cold and incredibly hard. He wondered if he could punch straight through it!
Time passed...
Hao Shuai had already circled the ship three times, but Red Queen still hadn't reported back. So he found her hard at work and asked, "How much longer?"
"Please be patient, boss." Red Queen pushed up the glasses on her nose and replied calmly.
Hao Shuai was speechless at the sight of Red Queen wearing glasses and pretending to be an intellectual. But he didn't tease her; he simply asked, "How much longer, in your estimation?"
"About a month." Red Queen sounded sheepish. "Boss, you know Kryptonian technology is extremely advanced. My intelligence improved after I acquired Predator alien technology, but completely cracking the ship's systems isn't something I can do in a short while."
"What? It'll take over a month just to open a door?" Hao Shuai asked incredulously.
Was the technological gap between the Predator aliens and the Kryptonians really that huge?
"Open a door? You mean the ship's entrance?" Red Queen asked, puzzled.
