Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Budding / prototype | 214 | Li ChunJun senses Heart Power after reaching Life Level 30. It provides perception and target-locking beyond Divine Sense, including a precognitive certainty in life-and-death exchanges. |
| Second level | 266 | Li ChunJun's Heart Power, supported by the second level of the Heavenly Heart Eternal Method, detects a warning from the disguised Demon Spirit C Canyang and withstands its direct Heart Power assault. |
| Third level | 284 | After refining more than fifty Heart Demons and advancing to Life Level 33, Li ChunJun's Heart Power breaks through. Its stability is sufficient for him to believe he can preserve his original heart against an Ultimate Heart Demon. |
| Fourth level | 308 | The Heavenly Heart Eternal Method derives the Burning Heart Like Fire characteristic, enabling Heart Power to burn invasive thoughts and wills and affect spiritually aware life externally. |
| Fifth level | 340 | Purging Small Thousand Worlds and refining an Ultimate Heart Demon raise Li ChunJun's Heart Power from the fourth to fifth level. Burning Heart Like Fire helps purify the resulting pollution. |
| Sixth level | 381 | Li ChunJun breaks through amid an ambush by Heavenly Palace Void Refining cultivators and the Aurora Special Operations Team, then expands his Sword Qi Storm to defeat the remaining opponents. |
| Eleventh level — Enlightenment (touched upon) | 485 | After defeating the Return to Zero Supreme Expert's reincarnation and thirteen Foreign Race Dao Integrations, Li ChunJun touches the eleventh-level state, Enlightenment, but does not immediately pursue it. |
Nature
Heart Power is a mysterious power rooted in a cultivator's Essence, Qi, and Spirit. Unlike Divine Sense, it functions as an intuition or perception “in the dark,” allowing its user to identify danger, lock onto targets, and judge likely outcomes before ordinary reasoning reaches a conclusion 214.
- It must be attached to Divine Sense to exist; Divine Thought enhances Divine Sense, while Heart Power stabilizes its fluctuations 271.
- Its realm is a key factor in Void Refining alongside Laws, cultivation methods, and bloodline 275.
- At sufficient attainment, Heart Power can carry Laws, allow Laws and Heart Power to manifest externally, and support the formation of a Dharma Idol 275.
- Heart Power is rare enough that complete Heart Demons cannot be sensed during hibernation by cultivators who have not cultivated it, including Nascent Soul True Lords 267.
Cultivation
Heavenly Heart Eternal Method
Li ChunJun cultivates the Heavenly Heart Eternal Method, a golden Heart Power method praised by the Profound Yellow Supreme 240 340.
- The first three levels grant Tenacity, greatly strengthening resistance to Heart Power interference, erosion, and damage 240 340.
- At the third level, a failed attempt to bear Law power does not collapse the Heart Power state; after recuperation, the cultivator can try again 270.
- The fourth-level characteristic, Burning Heart Like Fire, uses Heart Power as kindling and belief as fuel to form Heart Fire 308.
- Heart Fire can burn invading Divine Sense, thoughts, and wills; when carried through Divine Sense, it can temper another being's Divine Sense, will, and beliefs 308.
- Burning Heart Like Fire also purifies foreign Heart Power pollution and accelerates cultivation through Heart Demon refinement 340.
Heart Demon Refinement
Complete Heart Demons can be refined to improve Heart Power or stimulate it in cultivators who lack it, but the practice is exceptionally hazardous 268.
- Heart Demons directly attack and erode Heart Power, eventually controlling their hosts as puppets 267.
- Human cultivators have historically treated Heart Demons as cultivation resources, but repeated disasters caused the Immortal Alliance to prohibit the practice more than 600,000 years ago 268.
- A Heart Demon may feign refinement and conceal itself within a cultivator's Heart Power before launching a fatal attack 270.
- Li ChunJun uses Heart Power to identify parasitized Nascent Souls, suppress their Heart Demons, and later burn captured Heart Demons with Heart Fire 268 269 300.
- Flame Phoenix Bloodline Nirvana helps Li ChunJun reduce the pollution accumulated from refining Heart Demons 308.
Applications
Precognition and Threat Detection
Heart Power warns its user of hidden danger and can provide a decisive sense of whether an action will lead to victory.
- Li ChunJun compares its foresight to knowing whether a coin will land heads or tails before it is thrown 214.
- It identifies threats that Divine Sense alone fails to uncover, including the Demon Spirit hiding within C Canyang 266.
- Superior Heart Power can blind or override an opponent's own Heart Power warning, as Li ChunJun does against Li Hentian 245.
Mental Defense and Suppression
Heart Power stabilizes the mind, reinforces Divine Sense, and resists spiritual attacks.
- Li ChunJun's second-level Heart Power withstands and destroys a Demon Spirit's invading Heart Power phantom 266.
- The Tenacity characteristic allows him to suppress Heart Power-level intrusions that attempt to shatter his inner world 266.
- At the third level, he endures the Heart Power imprint left on the Hong Family's Unquenchable Light, though the initial Divine Sense impact briefly shakes him 300.
Heart Manifestation
At higher levels, Heart Power can manifest externally through Divine Sense and a suitable carrier.
- Li ChunJun manifests a long river formed from Heart Power and Divine Sense, controlling hundreds of millions of Sword Lights 326.
- With the Crimson Sky Sword as its carrier, this Heart Manifestation materializes into a Sword Qi River resembling a Dharma Idol 327.
- The manifested Sword Qi River can clash with large-scale Dao Arts over tens of thousands of miles 330.
Law-Bearing and Higher Realms
Heart Power determines how effectively a cultivator can carry Laws and sustain higher cultivation.
- The first Heart Power realm permits a cultivator to carry spatial Laws and attempt Void Refining 238.
- The third realm makes successful Law-bearing effectively certain unless the cultivator has excessive personal flaws 238.
- Heart Power Realm is the true limiting factor in Li ChunJun's transformation from Dharma Idol to Law Lifeform 422.
- At the eleventh level, Enlightenment would allow a cultivator who understands their own Dao to exceed the limit of Heart Power carrying only nine Great Daos 485.
Limitations and Risks
- Heart Power does not substantially raise direct combat power at lower levels, though it steadily improves perception, stability, and control 242.
- Strong cultivation does not guarantee a strong mind; personal flaws can leave a cultivator vulnerable to Heart Demon erosion 275.
- Refining powerful Heart Demons produces Heart Power pollution. Refining an Ultimate Heart Demon leaves pollution that may take years to fully purge 340.
- Even a powerful Heart Power method has limits: Li ChunJun recognizes that his sixth-level Heart Power lags behind the eighth or ninth level expected of top Supreme Saints 404.
- Heart Power Perfection and infinite approximation to Perfection are fundamentally different; in evenly matched battles, tiny flaws are magnified through countless rapid mental collisions 422.
Notable Users
- Li ChunJun — Develops Heart Power naturally through Life Level advancement, cultivates the Heavenly Heart Eternal Method, and reaches the sixth realm before touching the eleventh-level state of Enlightenment 214 381 485.
- Li Hentian — Holds first place on the Sun Radiance Ranking largely because he entered the first Heart Power realm, but concedes after Li ChunJun overwhelms his Heart Power warning 245.
- Elsa — A Wood Spirit Princess discovered to possess the rare potential to cultivate Heart Power, though she initially fails to refine a Heart Demon 286.
