Ge Shu had only just fallen asleep when Si Kongtong forcibly woke her. She yawned blearily, looking utterly dazed.
Si Kongtong sighed softly. "Xiaoshu, you can't keep being this lazy. As cultivators, cultivation should be our foremost priority."
Ge Shu stuck out her tongue playfully. "Last night was an exception. After drinking too much, getting to sleep soundly is the most, most, most comfortable thing in the world."
As she spoke, she glanced out at the sky.
Her half-closed eyes suddenly flew wide open, her face full of question marks.
"Tong Tong? It's not even light out yet?"
Realizing that her sweet dream had been interrupted, Ge Shu pouted her cherry-red lips.
Then she seemed to think of something and anxiously asked, "Did he bully you? I'll go scold him for you."
Si Kongtong soothed Ge Shu's impetuous temper and leaned close to whisper a few words in her ear.
After hearing why Si Kongtong had come—
Ge Shu's entire face fell. "That's all? It's just fetching a box. Was there really any need to drag me out of bed?"
Though she grumbled, she obediently got out of bed, dressed, and went along to help.
"Be good~" Si Kongtong reminded her from behind, "Don't say anything unnecessary."
"I know~ It's not like I'm someone who loves to blab!"
Ge Shu yawned as she walked out the door.
Then she heard Si Kongtong say behind her, "When we get the chance, I'll take you to the Snow Region for some delicious food."
With one foot already outside, she abruptly spun around. Looking back, she smiled in delighted surprise. "You mean it? That's wonderful! Thank you, Tong Tong!"
The weariness in her eyes vanished at once, and she skipped happily toward Lu Feng's room.
"Wow~ So many treasures!"
