Lu Feng stood to one side, concentrating intently.
The jade stone hung in the air as the spirit blade engraved inscriptions upon it, clearly and completely revealing the paths along which the miasma flowed.
"How miraculous!" Lu Feng discovered in astonishment that although the patterns he had inscribed were exceptionally gentle, the power contained within them was incomparably violent.
"No wonder Jiang Ruoyun possesses strength far beyond ordinary people," Lu Feng murmured as realization dawned on him.
Suddenly, Lu Feng sensed something unusual within the array. He immediately put away the engraving knife and jade block, his eyes fixed tightly on Jiang Ruoyun.
Jiang Ruoyun's forehead was covered in cold sweat. She bit down hard on her lips and looked to be in great discomfort.
After examining her carefully, Lu Feng discovered that another exceedingly terrifying aura had appeared within Jiang Ruoyun's body, contending against the invading miasma.
From the looks of it, it seemed to be protecting Jiang Ruoyun of its own accord.
Little did he know that she had deliberately drawn the miasma into her body.
Lu Feng had felt that terrifying aura before. Back when they had been surrounded by the Sky Rat Swarm and nearly lost their lives, Jiang Ruoyun had given off this same dreadful presence.
Now, Lu Feng became even more certain. This was an aura that automatically protected Jiang Ruoyun in moments of danger. As for its origins, he had no idea—perhaps not even Jiang Ruoyun herself knew.
"This is bad. If this continues, Jiang Ruoyun will surely be torn apart by the collision of these two auras and die!"
Alarmed, Lu Feng hurried toward Jiang Ruoyun, pressed a hand to her shoulder, and slowly injected spirit qi into her.
"Should I help that terrifying aura, or the miasma?"
Lu Feng hesitated briefly
