Reversing Effect and Cause

"Are you telling me... that people from the Angel Civilization came into contact with us during our civilization's primitive era?"

Commander Cao Yang could not accept that his civilization had been like the present-day Priest Civilization—like monkeys, making contact with the Angel Civilization under surveillance.

As a supervisor, he had found it perfectly natural.

But putting himself in their place, all he felt was a suffocating despair.

"Although we do not want to admit it, this is a logical deduction."

"While myths and legends are not entirely real, they are, to a certain extent, also the history books of a civilization. We had previously considered them more from the perspective of cultural evolution and completely overlooked the possibility that they might be real history."

After all, primitive humans probably could not have had such rich imaginations, could they?

Scientific thinking had simply led everyone to dismiss exaggerated myths as fiction from the outset.

But setting aside prejudice, could myths truly be regarded as epics?

When gods appeared before them, and the myths and legends of two entirely unfamiliar civilizations overlapped in some way, they had no choice but to believe that this might be the truth of history.

"Of course, if the Angel Civilization and we originated from the same source, then this coincidence would be perfectly normal." The strategist made an unfunny joke.

At the very least, Commander Cao Yang had never considered that possibility. He would rather believe in the existence of gods than believe that the two civilizations shared the same origin.

"It seems we need to understand the universe all over again."

Commander Cao Yang felt as though his mind was in turmoil, the solid wall of scientific conviction crumbling bit by bit.

"Send your full analysis back. Let those bastards in the cabinet worry about
