Lilian is the daughter of Thousand Illusions Empress Aili and Prince Oran An. Her tribe does not impose strict political marriage arrangements; after Aili became Empress, marriage was explicitly left to Lilian's own preference. 119 158

As a child, Lilian admired Ao Qing of the Deep Sea Dragon Tribe. The two families were close, and Ao Qing repeatedly protected her during training. Over time, however, his affection became controlling: he monitored her interactions, possessions, reading, and personal life as though she belonged to him. This experience left Lilian deeply afraid of being possessed or deprived of her freedom. 119

She is determined and adaptable. After becoming attached to Chu He, she disguises herself as “Mimi” and accepts humiliating work at Gluttony House rather than leave his side. Even after spending a day cleaning toilets, washing dishes, and being supervised by Xia Yao and Kachi, she refuses to reveal herself. 76 77

Beneath her mischief, Lilian is perceptive and emotionally direct. Lilian first arrives at Gluttony House to demand compensation from Chu He for disrupting Myriad Phenomena City. The Kiss and “Mimi” Disguise

Chu He's accidental kiss of Lilian's remotely connected clone causes the clone to dissolve and leaves Lilian affected by the Kiss of the Bewitching Ghost. 72 73 Desperate to remain close to him, she disguises herself as Mimi and applies for work at Gluttony House. 76

Chu He sees through the disguise, but permits her a trial and tests her resolve through demanding chores.
