On the vast, rolling sea, a large ship and a small one gradually drew closer together.
The warship Louis and the others were aboard wasn't small, either. It was standard issue for the Four Blues' Navy, large enough to carry hundreds of marines into battle against pirates.
But compared to the enormous ship ahead, which seemed like a mountain lying on the sea, the warship beneath Louis's feet really did look rather unimpressive.
Louis gazed at the giant figures on the distant vessel, a glimmer of understanding in his eyes.
Judging by their enormous size and their ship, they were almost certainly from the Giant Tribe. He just didn't know whether they came from Elbaf or somewhere else.
Yelena and Uta soon spotted the massive figures aboard the giant ship as well, and both gaped in astonishment.
Uta gasped. "Giants!"
Yelena stood frozen on deck for a long moment before finally coming back to her senses. "So these are the giants you've been talking about?"
Louis nodded. "That's right."
Yelena fell silent.
She had assumed the giants Louis and the others had mentioned were, at most, seven or eight meters tall.
But seeing these towering figures—each over ten meters tall and several times heavier than she had imagined—she realized she had greatly underestimated what a giant was.
After a long pause, all Yelena could manage was, "They're so huge. How much food must they eat in one meal..."

A moment later, the giants' ship noticed the warship carrying Louis and the others.
"Is that... a warship?" The giant woman with long, pale-gold hair and a massive battle-axe on her back lowered her oversized spyglass uncertainly and rubbed her eyes.
She thought she must have seen wrong. There was a pirate flag flying on that warship.
A hearty voice sounded
