Background / History
Chicheng originates from the Fan Yuan Continent. Within the Legend adventurer group, he serves as the Gatherer responsible for processing, transporting, identifying, and selling the party's spoils of war. His familiarity with the Myriad Goods Merchant Association allows him to move quantities of high-tier materials too large for the Adventurer's Guild to handle. 97
When Izpalut proposes bringing the newly arrived Lu Cang along, Chicheng initially objects to adding a child to their travels. He accepts once Iz promises to teach Lu Cang magic and keep him safe, then immediately encourages Lu Cang to make the most of Iz's instruction. 2
He later becomes a major influence on Lu Cang's Warrior path. Chicheng teaches him the basic form of the Invincible Style before Lu Cang has a Warrior class, repeatedly pushes him toward physical training, and argues with Izpalut that Lu Cang's Warrior potential should not be neglected. 121 128 146
Appearance
Chicheng is commonly identified by his crimson or red figure and the enormous greatsword he carries.
- Carries a greatsword so large that it would not fit inside an ordinary carriage. 5
- The blade bears red-and-black patterns and carved scenes of war. 5
- Possesses a white-masked combat state that weakens the constraints of rules and time dilation affecting him. 434
- His battle aura can manifest as lightning and fire across his body. 436
Personality
Chicheng is exuberant, boastful, and intensely battle-minded. He eagerly seeks out powerful wyrms and high-tier dungeons, calls himself the “invincible War Emperor,” and views difficult opponents as opportunities to grow stronger. His enthusiasm can turn a controlled test into a destructive sparring match. 22 190 191
His confidence is balanced by a practical streak. As a Gatherer, he cares deeply about the value of loot, berating Izpalut after Origin Magic leaves no salvageable remains from a Continent-Sinking Tier Demonic Beast. He is also an effective negotiator, demanding 120 million for a major shipment rather than accepting the merchant association's initial offer of 100 million. 145 97
Despite his roughness, Chicheng is considerate in direct action: Lu Cang sees him helping an elderly woman carry a heavy load, and he repeatedly assists Lu Cang with dungeon exploration, containment, and material collection. 10 94 95 His combat instincts are exceptional, though Lu Cang notes that his everyday judgment is less reliable. 189
Abilities & Skills
Warrior Prowess and Invincible Style

Unique Physique
Chicheng possesses a physique that turns sufficiently intense combat into lasting power.

- Permanently retains part of the absorbed power only by enduring a life-or-death struggle. 436
- Can withstand magic that damages and shatters his internal organs, then use the absorbed force to restore himself and intensify his fighting spirit. 435
- Generates a forceful recoil around his body that can repel attacks on contact. 435
Path of Invincibility
Chicheng's personal path centers on breaking every obstacle through absolute force.

- The technique embodies his belief that a single force can break through the complexity of all paths. 436
