Di Jun prepared for the Demon Clan’s coming war with the Witch Clan, while Kunpeng celebrated the death of Di Jun’s sons by wreaking havoc in the North Sea. Mystic Turtle intervened and expelled Kunpeng from the North, sending him back to the Heavenly Court.

• The Mystic Turtle suspected the Heavenly Dao was warning him to stay away from Xuan Qing, but he refused to abandon his support for Xuan Qing.
• Kunpeng returned to the Heavenly Court, where the Demon Clan’s higher-ups welcomed him as a distraction for Di Jun, and he silently vowed revenge on them.

Houtu left Pangu Hall to seek a breakthrough before the Witch-Demon War, while Tai Yi's demand that the races submit revealed the Demon Clan's plan to rule the Prehistoric Era.

• Di Jun ordered Eastern Emperor Taiyi to mobilize the Heavenly Court's troops and subdue the races that had not submitted.

• The Demon Clan Army reached Qing Qiu, and the Fox Clan's Quasi-Saints refused Tai Yi's demand to submit.
• Tai Yi attacked Qing Qiu with the Chaos Bell, but the Fox Clan's Formation repelled him and the Demon Clan's strikes.

The Demon Clan broke the Fox Clan’s formation and, after a costly battle, Di Jun deployed the Zhou Tian Stars Great Formation to force the Fox Clan to surrender. Xuan Qing sent Han Xi to intervene, and she saved Qing Qiu and removed the Demon Clan army, then reunited with Su Mei.

• The Fox Clan’s formation shattered, and the Fox Clan and Demon Clan fought a bloody battle in Qing Qiu.
• Tai Yi asked Di Jun for reinforcements, and Di Jun brought Fuxi, Kunpeng, and a large Demon Clan force to Qing Qiu.
• Di Jun deployed the Zhou Tian Stars Great Formation and demanded that Su Mei surrender or face extermination.

• Han Xi confronted Tai Yi over the Demon Clan's attack on Qing Qiu, and Fuxi persuaded Di Jun to withdraw and apologize to Su Mei.
• Su Mei reorganized the Fox Clan and asked Han Xi to isolate Qing Qiu from the Prehistoric Era during the Measure Tribulation.
• Di Jun led the Demon Clan across the Eastern Continent, then returned to the Heavenly Court after deciding not to invade the Western Lands or Northern Continent.

Chang Xi placed part of her Primordial Spirit into a Human woman to punish Houyi without reigniting war between the Witch and Demon clans, and Houyi met the woman, Chang'e, on Peach Mountain. They married and Houyi joined the Human Race, but Chang'e remained troubled by her inability to advance her cultivation.

• Chang Xi severed part of her Primordial Spirit to bear the Karma of her revenge, then placed it in a Human woman and settled among the Human Race.
• The woman encountered Houyi among the Peach Blossoms on Peach Mountain, and they were captivated by each other.
• Chang'e returned the next day, told Houyi her name, and began visiting him regularly until he decided to join the Human Race and marry her.
• Sui Ren Shi approved Houyi's request and witnessed the wedding, after which Houyi built Chang'e a palace on Peach Mountain.
• Chang'e grew anxious because her cultivation would not improve, despite examinations by the Three Ancestors of the Human Race and Xiao.

Chang'e swallowed an Immortal Pill offered by the old woman, hoping to live forever with Houyi, but the moon’s light carried her to the Lunar Star. Xiao stopped Chang Xi from erasing the couple’s home, while Houyi chased after Chang'e.

• An old woman offered Chang'e a way to become a Golden Immortal, warning that she and Houyi would have to be apart for a while.
• Chang'e swallowed the pill after Houyi promised he would follow her if she died.
• Chang'e's cultivation surged, and a beam of moonlight carried her toward the Lunar Star as Houyi failed to break through it.

Chang Xi revealed Chang'e's origin and punished Houyi for killing the Golden Crows by sealing him as Wu Gang, forced to chop the Laurel Tree while Chang'e lived in the Moon Palace. Xi He watched Houyi's torment with satisfaction, though Chang Xi felt a trace of Chang'e's emotions within herself.

• Chang Xi revealed that Chang'e was a strand of her Primordial Spirit, while Houyi realized he had been lured to the Lunar Star.
• Chang Xi sealed Chang'e inside an ice palace and bound Houyi's consciousness, then transformed him into Wu Gang and forced him to chop the Laurel Tree.

After Houyi and Chang'e were sent away, Xiao urged Sui Ren Shi to make the Human Race self-reliant and later met Houtu, who was seeking a breakthrough. Xiao invited Houtu to travel with him through lands scarred by past disasters, setting out to guide her toward an opportunity.

• Chang Xi took Xi He back to the Lunar Palace, while Xiao concealed the traces of Houyi and Chang'e's former life on Peach Mountain.
• Sui Ren Shi asked Xiao about Houyi and Chang'e, and Xiao said they would be gone for several thousand Kalpas or longer.
• Xiao urged Sui Ren Shi to rely on the Human Race's own strength, and the hunting parties gradually adapted to life without Houyi despite suffering more casualties.

Xiao brought Houtu to the Netherworld Sea of Blood, where the Remnant Souls inspired her to seek the opportunity calling to her. After defeating Ming He when he blocked her way, Houtu reached a mysterious gate and entered Enlightenment, while Xiao kept Ming He from interfering.

• Xiao asked Houtu for two drops of her essence blood before leading her into the Blood Sea.
• Houtu witnessed the suffering of the Remnant Souls and resolved to do something for them as a pull from the Blood Sea's depths called to her.
• Ming He confronted Houtu and refused to let her pass, but Houtu struck him down with her staff and forced him aside.
• Houtu reached a pitch-black gate and entered Enlightenment as Xiao stopped Ming He from approaching.

Houtu sacrificed herself to establish Reincarnation and the Underworld, completing the cycle of life and death for the Prehistoric Era. Xiao followed her into the Underworld, while Ming He chased after them, and the Witch Clan rushed to the Blood Sea after learning of Houtu’s fate.

• Xiao refused to reveal Ming He’s opportunity as Houtu’s aura surged and the pitch-black gate trembled.
• Houtu vowed to transform her body into Reincarnation and establish Netherworld Hell, and the Great Dao appeared to approve her oath.

Houtu emerged from Reincarnation as Pingxin and attained Primordial Grand Luo Golden Immortal, becoming the Lord of Earth Dao. After reconciling with the Ancestral Witches and Ming He, Xiao began establishing the Underworld’s order and was transformed into Great Emperor Fengdu.

• Houtu reappeared from Reincarnation, attained Primordial Grand Luo Golden Immortal, and declared herself Pingxin, the Lord of Earth Dao.
• Hongjun questioned Heavenly Dao about Houtu’s effect on the Wu-Demon conflict, but Heavenly Dao said she could not intervene in the Measure Tribulation.

Xiao completed key parts of the Underworld, established its laws of life and death, and asked Houtu to organize its government. Xuan Qing proposed that the Saints send disciples to serve in the Underworld, but said Laozi’s disciple Xuandu would be replaced by someone from the Human Race.

• Xiao formed Houtu’s and Great Emperor Fengdu’s residences, received the Book of Life and Death and Judge’s Brush, and created Ghost Gate Pass, the Bridge of Helplessness, and the Eighteen Levels of Hell.
• Xiao used the Book of Life and Death and Judge’s Brush to establish the Earth Dao’s authority over lifespan and death for beings below the Golden Immortal realm.

Xuan Qing assigned Ming He a role in the Underworld and explained how the Three Daos’ saint positions worked. Qing Yue broke through to Primordial Chaos Golden Immortal, established the Palace of Death, and prepared to leave the Netherworld with Xuan Qing.

• Xuan Qing incorporated the Asura Clan into the Underworld and named Ming He Lord of the Asura Path, promising he might earn a Saint's Fruit Position through service to the Earth Dao.
• Xuan Qing told Nuwa and Houtu that the Heavenly, Earth, and Human Daos had nine, six, and three Saint positions, respectively, and explained that Primordial Chaos Great Luo could still emerge without such a position.

• Nuwa told Houtu that Fuxi would face a calamity and asked her to intervene when the time came.
• Houtu feared that the Witch Clan might share the Three Tribes’ fate, and her unstable aura shook the Underworld.
• Xiao calmed Houtu and urged her to guard the Underworld and trust Xuan Qing’s plans for the Witch Clan.

Kunwu confronted Zhunti and Jieyin over their failure to restore the Western ley lines, resisting their attempts to threaten or recruit him. He offered to sever his Karma with them, forcing the Saints to negotiate as the chapter ended.

• Zhunti and Jieyin arrived at Kunwu's divine mountain and challenged him over restoring the Western ley lines.
• Kunwu mocked the Saints for neglecting the task, and Zhunti's attempt to attack him was stopped by a warning from the Heavenly Dao.

As Chaos Demon Gods entered the Prehistoric Era under a hidden scheme against Xuan Qing, the Four Sacred Spirits suspected a plot and prepared to warn him, while the Four Extremes Land began expanding.

• Destiny and the Chaos Demon Gods agreed to enter the Prehistoric Era, while Shichen and Destiny withheld their suspicions about the Four Sacred Spirits and intended to use the invasion to draw Xuan Qing into a trap.

• White Tiger met Lei Xing at the Kirin Cavern Heaven and learned that Nuwa was Xuan Qing’s disciple, though she resided at Phoenix Nest Mountain.
• White Tiger explained that Xuan Qing’s transformation had made the Primordial Land vast and difficult to cross, then gave Lei Xing coordinates for the Extreme One Land before leaving.
