Giant Mastiff brought Xuanyuan’s request for help against the Buddhist Sect to Kunwu, who refused to directly confront it but offered sanctuary on Kunwu Mountain. Xuanyuan then set out with a small party to protect Western Lands humans willing to resist, and entered the Western World after meeting the people of Longevity Mountain.

• Giant Mastiff told Kunwu that the Human Emperor wanted help freeing Western Lands humans from the Buddhist Sect, but Kunwu declined to challenge the sect and promised protection for anyone who settled in his territory.
• The Spirit of the Ancestral Vein questioned Kunwu’s refusal, and Kunwu explained that Zhunti might disrupt his approaching breakthrough to Primordial Chaos Great Luo.

• Xuanyuan saw that Western Lands cities centered on buddha statues and chose to head for the Blood Sea rather than confront their brainwashed worshippers.
• Zhunti learned that Xuanyuan had arrived and told the Buddhas not to act unless he threatened the Buddhist Sect's foundations.

Xuanyuan rescued Humans from Buddhist Sect cities in the Western Lands, prompting Zhunti to send the sect’s disciples after him. As the Buddhist Sect’s forces cornered Xuanyuan before Kunwu Mountain, Ying Long and Xuan Nü fought two Quasi-Saints while Xuanyuan faced a third.

• Xuanyuan led the Blood River Tribe to a city, killed its Buddhist Sect disciples, and ordered his followers to rescue only Humans who belonged to their clans.
• Zhunti ordered the Buddhist Sect’s disciples to capture Xuanyuan, and Kunwu hurried with the Giant Mastiff to meet him after sensing the army’s mobilization.

• A Buddhist Quasi-Saint defeated Xuanyuan and seized him, but Kunwu arrived on the Giant Mastiff and rescued him.
• Kunwu seized the Quasi-Saint, then Zhunti appeared and rescued his subordinate.
• Kunwu demanded that Zhunti let the Human Emperor leave, but Zhunti blocked the Human Race and invoked his Saint’s aura against them.
• Yuanshi arrived and countered Zhunti’s pressure, then threatened to exclude the Buddhist Sect from the Human Emperor’s affairs.

After Xuanyuan led Human Race refugees away from the Buddhist Sect, he sought Ming He’s protection for the Blood River Tribe, whose people needed to live near the Blood Sea. Houtu ordered Ming He to accept them into his Asura Teachings, and Ming He saw the refugees’ potential.

• Kunwu left Yuanshi, while Yuanshi warned Zhunti not to interfere with Xuanyuan before he achieved Merit Completion.
• Zhunti ordered the Buddhist Sect disciples to return to the Human Race’s lands and rebuild their faith.
• Xuanyuan woke, helped the refugees build cities in Kunwu’s territory, and learned the Blood River Tribe members planned to return to the Blood Sea.

After Xuanyuan found his successor and completed his reign, he discovered that his daughter Nü Ba had become the first zombie of the Prehistoric Era.

• Ming He agreed to protect the Human Race if some of its members voluntarily joined the Asura Teachings, and Xuanyuan accepted his condition.
• The Asura Clan appeared in the Western Lands, prompting Zhunti to withdraw the Buddhist Sect's forces rather than risk provoking Houtu.
• Xuanyuan searched for a successor, compiled the Huangdi Neijing, and selected his grandson Zhuanxu before achieving Merit Completion.

As the Human Dao manifested, the Prehistoric Era’s lands began to separate and gather around the Human Race’s territory, leaving Zhuanxu to face a transformed world.

• Xuan Nü suggested Xuanyuan seek the Dao Venerable at the ancestral land to save Nü Ba, and Xuanyuan sealed the area around her before returning to the Human Race.
• Xuanyuan proclaimed his merit complete and abdicated in favor of Zhuanxu, while the Human Dao rewarded Xuanyuan, his followers, and his supporters.
• Xuanyuan appointed his Twelve Generals as the Twelve Yuan Chen, and the twelve men advanced to the early Quasi-Saint realm.

Duobao and Jin Ling were assigned the Jie Sect’s opportunities, while Yuanshi sent Guang Chengzi to try again despite his earlier failure.

• Xuan Qing returned to Azure Nether Island to contemplate after another insight descended, and the saints departed from the Human Race as Zhuanxu took over as Human Emperor.

Yuanshi chose Guang Chengzi to teach the next Human Emperor, deepening resentment among the other Chan Sect disciples, while Ran Deng plotted with Cihang and three others to create trouble for him. As Zhuanxu began his reign, Duobao entered Human territory and helped establish customs and systems under the Human Dao’s protection.

• Yuanshi assigned Guang Chengzi to assist the next Human Emperor, and the other disciples withdrew from him while Nanji left Kunlun Mountain.
• Ran Deng met with Cihang and three other disciples, then proposed secretly creating difficulties for Guang Chengzi during his mission; they agreed after he concealed the heavenly secrets.
• After Zhuanxu ascended the throne, Duobao entered Human territory and discovered that the Human Dao’s power suppressed visitors’ strength.

Di Jun returned from death by proving the Dao as a Demonic Saint and learned that the Primordial Land had changed during his absence. He reached the Heavenly Court seeking news of the Demon Clan, and Yaochi told him its former members had gone to the Demon Continent.

• Di Jun fused the Solar Star and Demonic Path origins, devoured the remnants of the Witch-Demon War, and became a Demonic Saint.
• Fuxi and the other saints met Di Jun, warned him to restrain his Demonic Path Dao Resonance, and heard his promise not to wreak havoc in the Primordial Land.
• Di Jun told the saints that he wanted to see Xi He and Lu Ya, then flew toward the Primordial Land.

After returning to the Prehistoric Era, Di Jun learned of the Witch-Demon War’s devastating aftermath and searched for Xi He before reuniting with Lu Ya on the Solar Star. He then set out to visit his surviving Demon Clan friends, reflecting on the Human Race and the Western Lands.

• Yaochi told Di Jun that Tai Yi had died in the Witch-Demon War, and Di Jun asked her and Haotian to preserve the Heavenly Court before departing for the Starry Sky.
• Di Jun found Chang'e guarding the Lunar Star and learned that Xi He had left long ago, then returned to the Solar Star and reunited with Lu Ya.

As he left to seek news of Xi He, Zhunti confronted him and warned him that a Saint could not fight in the Prehistoric Era.

• Di Jun arrived at Demon Continent, where the surviving elders recognized him and Bai Ze and Ying Zhao welcomed him back.
• Di Jun apologized for the Demon Clan's hardships, revealed that he had become a Saint, and promised to move them east, but Bai Ze warned that the Dao Venerable had confined them there as punishment.
• Bai Ze told Di Jun that Empress Pingxin had taken the defeated Witch Clan to the Underworld, and explained that Di Jun's protection would discourage Zhunti from preying on the demons.

Di Jun challenged Zhunti in the Outer Heavens, but the newly crowned First Heaven Saint was outmatched by the Second Heaven Saint. Luohu intervened before Zhunti could finish Di Jun off and punished Zhunti, leaving him defeated once again.

• The Three Pure Ones, Zhunti, Jieyin, and Nuwa confronted Luohu, who drew them into a demonic battlefield and challenged them to attack together.

After reaching the Ninth Heaven of the Primordial Grand Luo Golden Immortal, Xuan Qing prepared to enter Return to Void with Zhuo Guang, leaving the others on Azure Nether Island.
