Luohu detonated the Western Continent’s earth veins, devastating the region and burdening himself, Hongjun, and Kunwu with immense Karma. He established the demonic path and merged into the Heavenly Dao, but before departing he seized Xuan Qing’s fate by naming him a Demon Lord and bearing part of Luohu’s sins.

• Hongjun saved Kunwu from Luohu’s spear, but Luohu detonated the western earth veins, wrecking the Western Continent and destroying the battlefield.
• Xuan Qing revealed himself, and Luohu realized Xuan Qing had reduced the Karma caused by the destruction.
• Luohu declared that Dao would decline as demons rose, established the demonic path, and merged into the Heavenly Dao Origin.
• Xuan Qing used the Green Lotus of Creation to take Luohu’s God-Slaying Spear and World-Destroying Black Lotus.
• Luohu offered his body to wash away his sins and named Hongjun, Kunwu, and Xuan Qing as fellow bearers of the Karma, making Xuan Qing a Demon Lord alongside him.
• The Heavenly Dao enveloped Hongjun, Luohu, and Kunwu in golden light as Luohu’s body dissolved and a new figure emerged from the Heavenly Dao Origin.

Xuan Qing brutally beat Luohu, who repeatedly returned through the Heavenly Dao Origin, until Luohu fled into the newly opened world. Afterward, Xuan Qing hinted that Hongjun might avoid bearing his Karma himself and accepted Kunwu’s offer to become his follower.
