Yuanshi kept the list for himself and ordered his disciples to stay on Kunlun Mountain, while Laozi doubted that the coming contest could avoid strife.

• Tongtian explained the God Conferment to the gathered Jie Sect disciples, and Yunxiao argued that living disciples could take divine positions, earn Merit, and reduce their bad karma.
• Tongtian sensed the transformed Saint Venerable Fruit Positions and expanded number of Saint positions, then decided to retrieve the Investiture of the Gods from Yuanshi and test placing living people on it.
• Yuanshi scolded his disciples for their conduct in the Heavenly Court, then reassured them that he would decide who went on the list and ordered them to remain on Kunlun Mountain.
