  • A hidden passage appeared, and Tongtian entered it to investigate while Laozi and Yuanshi remained outside.

Ch. 162Tongtian Almost Became a "Peeping Tom"

Tongtian accidentally emerged from a passage into Queen Mother of the West’s Dao Field and was mistaken for peeping at Xuan Nü while she bathed. After clearing up the misunderstanding, he brought Laozi and Yuanshi over to help decide what to do with the passage, and they considered protecting it with Formations rather than destroying it.

  • Tongtian passed through the passage and startled Xuan Nü while she was bathing, then Queen Mother of the West stopped him as he tried to leave.
  • Tongtian explained that he had arrived by accident through a passage from Kunlun Mountain, and Queen Mother of the West and Xuan Nü confirmed the passage’s residual aura.
  • Queen Mother of the West asked Tongtian how to destroy the passage without harming the Immortal God Tree, and Tongtian summoned Laozi and Yuanshi for help.
  • Tongtian proposed using Yuanshi’s Nine Heavens Breathing Soil to protect the tree, but Yuanshi suggested keeping the passage and securing it with Formations.
  • Laozi endorsed Yuanshi’s plan to turn the passage into a protected teleportation route, and Tongtian became interested in studying it.

Ch. 163The Kirin Clan's Request

  • At Kirin Cliff, Lei Li asked the Three Pure Ones to let the Kirin Clan live on Kunlun Mountain and offered the Central Wuji Apricot Yellow Banner in return.
  • Yuanshi accepted the banner and agreed to shelter the Kirin Clan, while Lei Li thanked him.

Ch. 164Another Surprise Attack

Lei Li gave Yuanshi Kirin Cliff and planned to retreat with his family, while Hong Yun and Zhen Yuanzi faced another ambush by Gu Diao’s beast army. Hong Yun and Zhen Yuanzi defeated the attackers, captured Gu Diao, and demanded to know why he had been targeting them.

  • Lei Li told Laozi and Yuanshi about the Three Tribes War and the Dao-Demon War, then handed Kirin Cliff to Yuanshi.
  • Lei Li planned to retreat with his father and Phoenix Kirin, while Laozi and Yuanshi prepared to return to Kunlun Mountain.
  • Gu Diao ambushed Hong Yun and Zhen Yuanzi outside Wuzhuang Temple with a large beast army.

Zhen Yuanzi learned that a mysterious figure wanted his Earth Book to complete the Mountain Sea Scroll, so he captured Gu Diao to use as a guide against the figure. In a hidden valley, the figure mourned the loss of his beasts and contacted Karma, who questioned Shanhai about Xuan Qing before cutting off their connection.

  • Gu Diao revealed that his lord had sent the beasts to seize Zhen Yuanzi's Earth Book, apparently to complete a scroll.
  • The Earth Book reacted to the mention of the scroll, and Zhen Yuanzi suspected it was an incomplete Spiritual Treasure sought by the mysterious figure.
  • Gu Diao described his lord as someone above the Grand Luo Golden Immortal realm, and Zhen Yuanzi spared him but sealed him to keep him as a future guide.
  • Hong Yun and Zhen Yuanzi continued their journey after Hong Yun pledged to help punish the figure who had targeted his fellow Daoist.
  • The mysterious figure discovered that most of the Mountain Sea beasts had died and blamed Gu Diao for ruining his plan.
  • Karma contacted Shanhai about Xuan Qing, then ended their connection before Shanhai could get the answers he wanted.

  • Xuan Qing's Dao Seed blossomed into a Dao Flower, transforming his True Spirit and drawing laws into his body as Yang Mei noticed the upheaval in the River of Great Dao.
  • A mysterious river revealed Xuan Qing's past and an image of Earth Star, but an axe light severed it before he could look closer.
  • After forty-nine Kalpas, Xuan Qing completed his breakthrough, formed an Immeasurable Dao Body, and reached the third level of Primordial Grand Luo Golden Immortal.

He then returned to Azure Nether Island, where Han Xi, Nuwa, and the island’s inhabitants congratulated him on his breakthrough.

  • Xuan Qing passed through the Membrane of the Earth and found that the Four Extremes Land had grown greener, though most of it remained barren beyond the Heavenly Pillars.

Hongjun described the realms beyond Grand Luo and the different paths toward attaining the Dao, leaving the guests wondering whether they could pursue the Primordial Origin Golden Immortal path.

  • Xuan Qing reassured Nuwa that her role in the Gourd Vine incident had helped him break through to the Primordial Grand Luo Golden Immortal realm.
  • Hongjun summoned the three thousand guests to Zixiao Palace, while Ran Deng secretly took a slain guest's place and Houtu set out with Xuan Ming despite her brothers staying behind.
  • Hongjun began his second sermon on breaking through Grand Luo's limits, then explained that the Quasi-Saint and saint realms lay above Grand Luo Golden Immortal.

  • An Innate Divine Being asked Hongjun whether cultivators could also attain the Primordial Origin Golden Immortal realm.

Ch. 170Passing Down the Method of Attaining the Dao

Hongjun explained the methods of attaining the Dao, identifying the Three Corpses as his own attainable path and teaching the gathered cultivators how it worked. He then named East King Duke and Queen Mother of the West the leaders of male and female immortals, formally establishing the immortal path in the Prehistoric Era.

Ch. 172Drawbacks of Severing the Three Corpses

Xuan Qing advised Nuwa to pursue the Human Dao rather than Hongjun’s Severing the Three Corpses method, which he believed concealed a flaw that could block cultivators from attaining the Dao and provoke a Measure Tribulation. He decided to attend Hongjun’s final lecture and confront the Heavenly Dao, while preparing Nuwa and Han Xi to grow stronger.

  • Xuan Qing told Nuwa to follow the Human Dao and use the Law of Creation to reach Primordial Origin Golden Immortal after achieving Grand Luo Perfection.
  • After Nuwa described Hongjun’s Severing the Three Corpses method, Xuan Qing concluded it could prevent cultivators from attaining the Dao without same-origin spiritual objects or Primordial Violet Qi.
  • Xuan Qing accused Hongjun of concealing the method’s flaw to incite competition over Innate Spiritual Objects and trigger a Measure Tribulation.
  • Xuan Qing agreed to attend Hongjun’s final lecture and said he would speak with the Heavenly Dao, while warning Nuwa not to accept Primordial Violet Qi.
  • Xuan Qing sent Nuwa to cultivate and urged Han Xi to learn from Qing Ya and pursue the Dao.

  • Queen Mother of the West declined the alliance and told East King Duke to mind his own business.
  • After his followers threatened Queen Mother of the West, East King Duke drew the Pure Yang Sword and attacked her.

Ch. 178Establishing the Immortal Court

Queen Mother of the West drove East King Duke from West Kunlun with help from Tongtian, but East King Duke regrouped in the East Sea and established the Immortal Court to challenge Di Jun's Heavenly Court. Queen Mother of the West chose a limited role protecting female immortals, while the Immortal Court's founding drew the Dragon Clan's attention.
