I'll Kill You With My Own Hands
"Look! That's Wang Ritain, the man the Xuanyuan Family put a bounty on!"
The eyes of the surrounding martial artists lit up at once, greed flashing in their gazes. In their minds, killing Wang Ritain would earn them the generous rewards promised by the Xuanyuan Family and make them famous throughout the martial world. It was a golden opportunity to rise to the top in one leap. In an instant, their qi surged, and the atmosphere grew taut, like a bowstring about to snap.
"Kid, surrender meekly and you might still get to keep your whole corpse!" shouted a burly martial artist, waving his broad saber with a whoosh.
Wang Ritain heard him and gave a scornful sneer. He raised his head slightly, his gaze flashing like lightning as he swept his eyes over the eager crowd. "You worthless lot think you can trade me in for a reward? You're nothing but stepping-stones on my path to the peak!"
His words enraged the crowd, and they glared at him furiously. Several among them were Grandmaster-level experts, prominent figures in the martial world. When had they ever endured such humiliation? "Hmph, this kid's far too arrogant! Everyone, attack together! I refuse to believe all of us can't take him down!" A tall Grandmaster roared and charged at Wang Ritain first. The others followed, their qi surging as they closed in from all sides. It looked as if they meant to tear Wang Ritain limb from limb.
Faced with enemies surging toward him like a tide, Wang Ritain showed no fear. Instead, he threw back his head and laughed. "Good! This is the perfect chance to test the power of my newly acquired Three Points Return to Origin Qi!" He swiftly brought his hands together, and the qi within him erupted. In an instant, a powerful force spread outward from him. Like an invisible hand, it tugged at everything in its path, distorting the air itself.
The attacking martial artists felt a tremendous force slam into them, dragging their bodies forward against their will. Even the Grandmasters could not resist it; one after another, they were hauled right up to Wang Ritain. Their faces were stricken with terror, their eyes filled with disbelief. Those watching from afar gaped in shock. "Th-this... what kind of martial art is this? How can it be so terrifying?" one Grandmaster cried, his voice trembling.
Wang Ritain paid no heed to their shouts. A resolute glint flashed in his eyes. "Since you've come right to my doorstep, don't blame me for showing no mercy!" He drew his saber, and a surge of demonic aura instantly filled the air. It was so dense it seemed almost tangible, as if it would dye the whole world black. A chill shot from the crowd's feet to their heads, and cold sweat soaked their backs. At last, they realized that the saber in Wang Ritain's hand was the legendary demonic blade.
Then, one terrifying wave of black saber qi after another appeared out of nowhere. The qi crisscrossed like countless blades, shrieking through the air. The crowd was plunged into utter panic. They tried to muster their qi to defend themselves, but the saber qi was too powerful; it tore through their protective barriers in an instant. Before everyone's eyes, the blades flashed like lightning, slicing mercilessly through flesh. The martial artists screamed in agony as the scene became a blood-soaked nightmare.
Those cut in half crawled across the ground in agony, letting out piercing wails. Blood poured from their bodies, pooling into a sea of red. The entire town reeked of blood, so strongly that the stench turned one's stomach. Those who witnessed the carnage were filled with awe and dread toward Wang Ritain. At last, they understood that he was far beyond their ability to challenge.
Nearby, some martial artists who had been on their way to join the hunt saw the horrifying scene and felt their stomachs heave. They nearly vomited. Their legs went weak, and they no longer dared attack Wang Ritain. He slowly turned to look at them, his gaze as cold as ice, as if it could see straight through them. At his glance, their faces turned paper-white. They fled at once, using their lightness skills to escape.
Wang Ritain watched them disappear into the distance and shook his head gently. He sheathed his saber and walked slowly out of the town, stepping through the blood. In the days that followed, martial artists tried to ambush him again and again. Yet under his Seven Demonic Blades, none survived. His demonic might struck terror into countless hearts. Only then did the martial world truly understand that Wang Ritain's strength had reached a terrifying level, far beyond the reach of ordinary people.
For several days, no one dared attack Wang Ritain. As he walked along, he felt dissatisfied. He knew he would have to make a much bigger stir to earn more Prestige Points. In this martial world, prestige was the foundation on which he stood.
One day, Wang Ritain was walking along a mountain path when his keen senses detected someone following him in secret. A faint sneer tugged at his lips. He blurred and vanished from where he stood.
The martial artist following Wang Ritain was a Grandmaster-level expert. He thought he had concealed himself well, never realizing Wang Ritain had already noticed him. When he suddenly found Wang Ritain standing before him, his face turned deathly pale. He panicked and instinctively tried to flee. But before he could move, Wang Ritain casually flicked his hand. A blade of saber qi flashed like lightning and instantly left him gravely wounded.
The martial artist cried out and collapsed to the ground, blood pouring from his wound. He stared at Wang Ritain in terror, despair filling his eyes. He thought he was as good as dead, but Wang Ritain had no intention of killing him.
"Get up," Wang Ritain said coldly, without a trace of emotion.
The martial artist struggled to raise his head and looked at Wang Ritain, confusion in his eyes.
"I won't kill you, but you're going to deliver a message for me," Wang Ritain continued.
"What... message?" the martial artist asked, trembling.
"Go to the Xuanyuan Family on Mount Hui and tell your ancestor, Xuanyuan Dapan: the next time I return to Mount Hui, I'll kill him with my own hands!" Wang Ritain's voice was firm and icy, like a sentence passed down from the depths of the underworld.
"Y-you said what?" The martial artist was horrified. He could hardly believe his ears. Xuanyuan Dapan was a Great Celestial Phenomenon expert, renowned throughout the martial world and someone no one dared provoke lightly. Yet this young man was so brazen as to utter such outrageous words.
Wang Ritain saw his shock and sneered. "What, you don't dare? If you won't deliver the message, I'll kill you right now."
The martial artist struggled with himself. He knew how terrifying Wang Ritain was, and understood he had no chance of resisting. Under Wang Ritain's threat, he hesitated for a moment, then finally gritted his teeth and said, "All right... I'll deliver the message."
