Leaving the spiritually abundant and naturally harmonious environment of Mount Buzhou, Di Jiang traveled westward, truly experiencing what it meant to be penniless.
The further west he went, the more desolate the surrounding scenery became. The land was cracked, vegetation sparse, and the air was filled with an indescribable aura of decay and deathly stillness. Spiritual energy was pitifully thin, and occasionally, he could feel faint mournful cries from deep within the earth, caused by broken spiritual veins. Compared to Mount Buzhou, this place was indeed the difference between a wilderness and a celestial realm.
"Is this the scar left by the Dragon-Han Calamity and the Dao-Demon Conflict? Truly brutal."
Di Jiang walked among the barren mountains, sighing inwardly. Within him, the pure bloodline belonging to Pangu's True Lineage seemed to be drawn by some unseen force, beginning to warm slightly. It conveyed an instinctive urge to repair the damaged earth veins, to soothe the wounds of this land, and to restore the world Pangu transformed back to its completeness and vitality!
A dense aura of the Earth Law subtly circulated around him, as if he could summon the power of the earth at any moment to try and reconnect the broken spiritual veins, should he wish to.
Di Jiang's steps faltered slightly, a flicker of interest in his eyes. As the inheritor of Pangu's bloodline, seeing the world formed by Pangu's body in such a state of ruin, he indeed felt a strong sense of responsibility and compassion.
"If I spend some time and energy to repair it along the way, perhaps I can restore some vitality to this Western land!" The thought was incredibly tempting.
But the next moment, Di Jiang took a deep breath, forcefully suppressing the restlessness of his bloodline and that urge.
"No, it's not time yet."
Di Jiang shook his head, his gaze becoming clear and calm once more. Repairing the earth veins, especially such a vast and fundamental damage in the West, was by no means easy. It would inevitably consume immense resources, possibly even shake his foundation and delay his cultivation.
Di Jiang was very clear about the primary objective of his journey: to test the Great Formation of the Myriad Heavens! This was the key to greatly enhancing his immediate combat power and future influence. Strength was the foundation for establishing oneself in the Primordial World, and even for realizing all ambitions.
Protecting the Primordial World also required sufficient power as support. If he lost sight of the bigger picture, delaying his own strength improvement for partial repairs, and thus being unable to prevent greater calamities in the future, that would be truly counterproductive and a betrayal of Pangu's bloodline.
Moreover, when Di Jiang's cultivation reached a higher level, perhaps the realm of Primordial Golden Immortal, and his mastery of laws deepened, he might find more efficient and thorough methods to repair the West, possibly solving the problem from its roots.
Having figured this out, Di Jiang no longer hesitated, nor did he deliberately slow his pace to feel the widespread devastation. He retracted the aura of law that had unconsciously emanated from him, and temporarily hid the pity and responsibility he felt for the Western land deep within his heart.
"For now, it's more important to find sufficiently dense malevolent energy as quickly as possible."
Looking around, the Western land was nothing but desolation. There were hardly any decent settlements, let alone any scenery worth lingering over. Di Jiang had completely lost interest in sightseeing.
"Let's go directly to the source and take a look."
With a thought, Di Jiang fully activated the Space Law around him. This time, it was not a leisurely stroll, but true spatial traversal!
Di Jiang's figure instantly blurred, merging into the omnipresent spatial dimensions. With a single step, millions of miles of mountains and rivers were left behind. The space in the West seemed more fragile and unstable than in the East, but for Di Jiang, who wielded the Space Law, this made his traversal even smoother.
In just about one Yuan Epoch, within Di Jiang's perception, a mountain appeared ahead. Although also broken, it still exuded the grandeur of its former foundations – the former Western Ancestral Vein!

Not long after, Di Jiang stood before the broken Mount Sumeru, his divine sense like a tide, meticulously scanning this former Western ancestral court. Huge cracks and signs of collapse were still visible on the mountain body, seemingly recounting the brutality of a past self-detonation. However, what made Di Jiang frown was that the concentration of heaven and earth malevolent energy here was almost non-existent.
Di Jiang sensed carefully and then realized!
Mount Sumeru was, after all, the core of the former Western Ancestral Vein. Even though its spiritual veins were destroyed, the mountain body itself still retained the original Dao rhythm of a Primordial sacred mountain, possessing self-purifying abilities.
Furthermore, quite a few Yuan Epochs had passed since the Dragon-Han Calamity. The most violent and outwardly apparent malevolent energy had long since dissipated with the passage of time or was slowly worn away and settled by the laws of heaven and earth. What remained now was more of a barren Dao injury deeply rooted in the earth, rather than the vast malevolent energy that floated on the surface and could be directly drawn upon.
This meager amount of malevolent energy was like a drop in the bucket for the Great Formation of the Myriad Heavens, which required massive amounts of malevolent energy to support its testing.
"It seems Mount Sumeru is not an ideal collection site."
Di Jiang shook his head, feeling a little disappointed. He glanced at the still somewhat vibrant mountain range, and was too lazy to search for Jieyin and Zhunti, who might or might not have taken form and were currently somewhere in the corners. He had no interest in those two future Saints, at least not now.
His goal was clear and singular: to find sufficiently dense heaven and earth malevolent energy!
Di Jiang's divine sense spread out again, scanning the entire Western land, tracing the source of that extremely yin, extremely turbid energy, the convergence of all negative energies, filth, and killing intent.
Soon, his perception locked onto a direction—the extreme depths of the West, where a foul, bloody, and murderous aura emanated. That was the ultimate destination for all negative energies in the Primordial World, the endless sea of filth formed from Pangu's navel—the Nether Blood Sea!
"That's right! The Blood Sea! That's where the Primordial World cleans up its garbage, gathering all the fierce, malevolent, resentful spirits, and filthy blood since the creation of the world. The malevolent energy there must be the densest and purest in the Primordial World!" Di Jiang's eyes flashed with brilliance as he found the best target.
Without any hesitation, Di Jiang's figure merged into space once more, performing an ultra-long-distance spatial jump towards the Nether Blood Sea in the extreme depths of the West.
The Blood Sea was located at the junction of the extreme West of the Primordial World and the yin side of the earth. It was difficult for ordinary Great Powers to find, but for Di Jiang, who wielded Space Law and could sense the channels of heaven and earth, finding it was not difficult.
After a few flashes, the scene before Di Jiang's eyes suddenly changed! It was a vast, boundless blood sea! The seawater was thick like paste, dark red and black in color. As it churned, it emitted a nauseating stench and a bone-chilling coldness.
On the surface of the sea, countless resentful spirits and fierce ghosts wailed and struggled, unable to escape the sea's confines. The dense, unresolvable fierce malevolent energy, killing aura, and filth intertwined, forming an absolute dead zone where even light could be distorted and devoured!
Just standing on the edge of the Blood Sea, the terrifying malevolent energy that assaulted the Primordial Spirit and eroded the physical body was enough to make any existence below the Golden Immortal realm collapse.
However, Di Jiang felt this monstrous malevolent energy and was delighted rather than alarmed!
"This is it! Such a vast malevolent energy is enough for me to fully test the Great Formation of the Myriad Heavens!"
Di Jiang stared intently at this most polluted place in the Primordial World, as if gazing at an endless treasure trove. As for the native resident of the Blood Sea—Minghe—Di Jiang didn't take him to heart at all.
In front of him, a Primordial Golden Immortal and an Ancestral Witch, the current Minghe was no different from a drop of blood in this Blood Sea.
