On the Sky Island, Gu Yu furrowed his brow.

Before, he could kill one with a single sword strike from twenty-three blocks away. Now, from the same spot in the same place,

sometimes it took two strikes to finish one off.

Had the zombies gotten stronger?

Aside from having more health, the monsters also seemed to be spawning faster.

He'd placed hoppers and chests beneath the Mob Spawner Tower. It used to take two or three days for them to fill with drops, but now they were full after just over a day.

"Maybe I'm just imagining it?"

He didn't know what was going on, so he could only assume the zombies had put on armor.

His gaze shifted to the Sky Island.

Over the past two days, there had been some good news: a Zombie Villager had appeared in the Mob Spawner Tower.

Although they seemed even more irritable than ordinary zombies, the boat trick kept them under control.

They'd all been shut up obediently in a house, where they were being treated with the Witch's Potion of Weakness.

"By my calculations, that strange Villager Zombie should be almost done converting."

He'd just arrived at the resource area

when a notification sounded in his ear.

It worked!

The Witch had already been dealt with and sent into the extra space.

Gu Yu saw a blocky little figure in a white robe, with delicate features.

"Was it you who saved me?"

The Architect's voice was clear and bright. He still seemed dazed from having just transformed.

Gu Yu was even more delighted.

It could speak! This Zombie Villager really was different!

Along with a new servant, he'd also received a Diamond Pickaxe and all kinds of potions!

The Heavy Hammer, a weapon that was supposed to be obtained by finding a Trial Chamber and killing a Breeze in a Duel Chamber, had been delivered right into his hands!

"So many potions! What a generous reward!"

"Hidden characters really are something else—a Golden Apple and a Diamond Pickaxe!"

"The Heavy Hammer, an Epic Weapon confirmed by the Block World itself!"

"Damn, that sounds extraordinary. Great God Gu Yu really is invincible!"

"The weapon sounds pretty good, but I think that NPC is the most important reward!"

"If the consolation prizes are already this good, how powerful must the NPC be?"

"I can't even imagine!"

In Block Civilization, NPCs were different from monster villagers.

Zhu Wu and the Architect could both communicate and trade, allowing them to benefit from the exchange.

But ordinary villagers couldn't speak or communicate.

Or rather, they had their own unique "villager language"—those piglet-like grunts and squeals. It was very hard for ordinary people to have a meaningful conversation with them.

Bartering was the most they were good for.

NPCs were different.

In other civilizations, they were warriors, hunters, or Parkour Experts.

Being able to speak normally was the bare minimum. They always had something else to offer, too.

Gu Yu didn't know what this Architect could do, but the Heavy Hammer had already appeared.

He was sure the Architect wouldn't be disappointing!

As it turned out, he was right.

Once he understood what had happened, the Architect knelt before Gu Yu.

"O sacred king, you have delivered me from danger and suffering. Please accept my allegiance!"

Gu Yu stepped forward and helped him up. The Architect introduced himself without being asked.

"There seems to be another block outside this area."

"If you wish, I'd be glad to build new structures for you!"

His name was Architect, and his abilities were related to building.

That seemed like a perfect fit for the direction his block was developing.

One Sky Island definitely wasn't enough for Gu Yu. If he wanted to develop it into a continent,

he'd need more than just resources. He'd need all kinds of buildings as well.

"What kinds of buildings can you make?"

He was curious about the Architect's abilities and what surprises they might bring.

After thinking for a moment, the Architect presented him with a blueprint.

"Based on your style, this should be the most suitable option for now."

The Kyushu Architectural System!

As a veteran MC player and a part-time builder,

Gu Yu had built things like the Forbidden City and ancient palaces before.

As a son of Kyushu, the words "Huaxia" ran through his veins!

And now, he could build these structures here, in front of the whole world!

He could let the entire world experience the art of the East!

This was right up his alley!

The viewers outside the screen couldn't see the notification, but they could see the blueprint in the Architect's hands.

"Why does what's on that paper look so familiar?"

"I'm not seeing things, am I? Is that a Siheyuan?"

"Holy crap, red lanterns and curtains—such a strong traditional Chinese style!"

"He's called an Architect, so his abilities must be related to building. He can help us build all this!"

"Build Kyushu architecture in the Block World?"

"That would be amazing! We'll leave our mark on the whole world—no, on the Block World itself!"

One iconic design after another appeared, leaving the viewers from Kyushu in awe.

Who could understand the thrill of seeing Chinese-style buildings in the Block World?

Pavilions and towers, carved beams and painted rafters—these were a source of pride deep in the heart of every citizen of Kyushu!

Gu Yu accepted the mod without hesitation. He was very pleased.

It wasn't like an ordinary building mod. The Architect's version had the word "Myth" in its name.

That meant each building had its own function and was imbued with an "enchantment." They weren't just for show.

But it wasn't a one-click generation mod. It only gave him a way to obtain the blocks; he'd still have to build everything himself.

Like Gu Yu, his subordinate could travel between blocks.

"I'll turn the Sky Island into the place you want it to be!"

After sending the Architect back to the Sky Island, Gu Yu looked outside the block.

He didn't know why the Iron Golem had died last time, so he'd built another one.

Now, the Iron Golem was staring face-to-face with a Piglin outside.

Gu Yu picked up six gold ingots and walked over.

"Long time no see!"

He tossed out all the gold ingots. Zhu Wu's eyes lit up, and his face broke into a smile.

"It's an honor to see you again, brave and handsome sir!"

"According to our clan rules, you gave me so many gold ingots last time, but I don't think I fulfilled my trading duties."

"So I've come especially to tell you that the Civilization Challenge has begun."

Civilization Challenge?

Gu Yu had never heard of such a thing, so he asked in confusion,

"What's that?"

"It's a required step for a Micro Civilization to advance to a Small Civilization. It should have appeared automatically once someone reached a block score of two hundred."

"Someone activated it early, though, which made the challenge much harder."

"It might be a creature, or it might be another block appearing. Either way, the world will become more dangerous!"

He tossed out a Diamond Sword and a few diamonds.

Zhu Wu continued,

"Now that the challenge has begun, we'll be restricted too. We won't be able to interact with you."

"In sixty days, anyone who has reached a block score of one hundred and survived will advance to the Small Block stage."

"I hope I'll see you again then!"
