The moment he moved his fingers, they struck something. He focused his eyes and saw it was the very tip of the huge coral horn atop the Fierce Rhinoceros's head, about a foot long and as thick as an arm. Its surface was covered in weathered, intricate patterns, and the blood at the broken end had already dried.

He recalled the scene intently. He still remembered the Fierce Rhinoceros letting out a piercing wail when the yin tribulation descended.

It seemed the yin tribulation had been what broke off its great horn.

At the thought of the coral horn that could unleash arcs of lightning, Xu Yi's heart burned with excitement. Before that excitement could fade, he suddenly remembered the lifesaving treasure, his iron essence. He hurriedly looked at his other hand. Sure enough, the shrunken iron essence lay quietly in his palm.

He couldn't help feeling fortunate that he had the sort of miserly, death-grip nature that clung to money even from inside a coffin. If he'd been even a little softhearted and loosened his grip, both treasures would have slipped away.

He swallowed the twelve pills. Their surging medicinal power dissolved, and warm currents washed through his organs and every limb and bone.

Xu Yi soaked quietly in the water. One incense stick, then two, then several hours passed. Only when the sun began to sink, its afterglow dyeing the snow red as rosy clouds, did his body move again.

He put away the iron essence and Coral Horn, turned over, and swam toward the center of the stream. The water was shallow;
