  • Xiong Kui’s group escorted the injured Qi Ming to meet Xu Yi, and Xu Yi let Xia Zimo keep the gold notes before Xiong Kui led his brothers home to rebuild their sect.

The Feng family retainers were left helpless as the constables arrived and prepared to take Third Young Master Feng to the death cell.

  • Third Young Master Feng tried to take the brown-haired woman by force, and the elder in green robes hesitated to oppose him because of his Feng family connections.

  • Xu Yi ordered the soldiers to take Third Young Master Feng to the death cell, and Head Steward Feng backed down rather than risk resisting the Royal Court.

  • Xu Yi examined the three-thousand-year-old Five Elements Flags, watched Yan Zi wield one, and bought the set from Pavilion Master Fang for eight thousand gold.
  • Pavilion Master Fang explained that a blood weapon could be dismantled and reforged with a new owner’s bloodline, prompting Xu Yi to recall the blood weapons he already possessed.
  • Xu Yi declined to buy the displayed blood weapons and picked up a crimson bow that Pavilion Master Fang said was made from strong materials.
  • Xu Yi recognized his need for a ranged weapon, drew the bow with two circles’ worth of force, and heard it crack before he quickly eased the strain.

Ch. 239Ullambana

Ch. 240Guest Elder

Xu Yi showed Pavilion Master Fang two Sumeru Rings and a mid-grade blood weapon, earning an invitation to attend the Ullambana Festival and an appointment as Linglong Pavilion’s honorary guest elder. • Xu Yi went to the Alchemy Hall and showed Elder Song’s jade token to reach his room.
  • Elder Song joyfully welcomed Xu Yi, who had been rumored dead after his tomb expedition.

Ch. 243Back Door

Ch. 247The Marvelous Use (In Celebration of Szeastnd's Alliance)

Xu Yi practiced archery with Zhao Baling and discovered that his powerful Soul Power let him hit targets with his eyes closed. After sharing a meal, the two strengthened their friendship, and Zhao Baling offered to help Xu Yi if he ever needed him.

  • Xu Yi practiced archery until he could nearly hit the bull's-eye with every shot, and Zhao Baling judged his skill to be second rank.
  • Xu Yi asked Zhao Baling to teach him to hit moving targets, and Zhao explained that reaching the highest levels required talent, repetition, and feel.
  • After hearing Zhao describe feel as hitting a target with closed eyes, Xu Yi used his perception to strike the target repeatedly and form a perfect circle.
  • Zhao Baling marveled at Xu Yi's innate talent, while Xu Yi attributed his perception to training his Soul Power.
  • Over dinner, Xu Yi explained that he wore a mask because powerful families might be plotting against him.
  • Zhao Baling promised to come to Xu Yi's aid if he sent a message to Guangwu Pavilion, and Xu Yi toasted him.

Ch. 248Arrangement (In Celebration of Qi Ru Sheng's Alliance)
