  • Xu Yi found Jiang Hentian’s journal and a garden of Precious Medicines, but breaking its ward destroyed the plants and spiritual soil he hoped to use for Qiu Wa.
  • The Shui family and Tianshan Sect fought over another protected garden until a Daoist emerged, demonstrated control of its restriction, and claimed it had once been his.
  • Xia Zimo persuaded the Daoist to sell the garden’s Precious Medicines to the highest bidders, and he agreed to hold an auction.
Chapters 151–175 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 151Flame Python

Xu Yi and Qi Ming were trapped in a tomb hall with Xiong Kui’s group and a Flame Python, then became targets of both the beast and the pretty-eyed woman. Xu Yi kept dodging her attacks, but the blocked passage and cramped hall left them in grave danger.

  • Xiong Kui offered Xu Yi and Qi Ming a truce, but the pretty-eyed woman claimed her group would handle the Flame Python and told them to leave.
  • The Flame Python lunged at Xu Yi and Qi Ming as they tried to depart, and Xu Yi escaped with Qi Ming using the Return to Origin Steps.
  • Xu Yi redirected the Flame Python toward the Green-robed Men, putting three of them in danger and forcing Xiong Kui and the pretty-eyed woman to intervene.
  • The pretty-eyed woman fired a Thunderclap Pellet that collapsed the passage entrance, then rushed Xu Yi and Qi Ming with powerful punches.
  • Xu Yi repeatedly used the Return to Origin Steps to evade the pretty-eyed woman, but the cramped hall and Qi Ming’s presence made it difficult to escape her pursuit.

Ch. 152The Pursuit

Xu Yi used his movement technique to disrupt the Yin Mountain Bandits’ formation and forced Xiong Kui to negotiate after the striking-eyed woman repeatedly failed to catch him. He set aside their dispute so they could focus on the wounded Flame Python, whose scales were falling under the bandits’ coordinated assault.

  • The striking-eyed woman chased Xu Yi, but he avoided her despite her superior Qi Sea Realm strength.
  • Xu Yi feinted at the Lion-nosed Big Man and other bandits, forcing the striking-eyed woman to protect them and disrupting their formation.
  • Xu Yi accused Xiong Kui of hoping the striking-eyed woman would kill him, then warned that he could defeat the other bandits.
  • Xiong Kui stopped A Mo from attacking Xu Yi, apologized, and offered to meet his demands.
  • Xu Yi postponed settling the matter and joined the bandits in confronting the Flame Python, which soon became badly wounded.

Ch. 153Demon Core

Xu Yi intervened to save the bright-eyed woman from the Flame Python, but the wounded beast revealed that it had formed a monster core and could rapidly heal. The chapter left Xu Yi and the Yin Mountain Bandits facing a far more formidable enemy.

  • The bright-eyed woman used Gathering Yuan to tear open the Flame Python’s jaws, but its counterattack left her badly wounded.
  • The Flame Python drove off the Yin Mountain Bandits and prepared to devour the bright-eyed woman.
  • Xu Yi struck the Flame Python’s eye with his silver hook, then crashed into its head, but Dragon Crocodile Armor protected him from the impact.
  • The Flame Python spat out a glowing date pit, regenerated its body and eye, and Xiong Kui recognized it as a monster core.

Ch. 154The Entrance

The Flame Python used its demon core to heal and regain its sight, then attacked Xia Zimo while Xu Yi tried to protect her. After the python drove Xu Yi into the cliff, he charged through its flames and leaped into its mouth.

  • The Flame Python spent its demon core to heal its wounds and restore its sight, then attacked Xia Zimo.
  • Xiong Kui used a Dragon Binding Rope to pull Xia Zimo from beneath the python’s tail, but the python burned through the rope and scattered the Yin Mountain Bandits with fireballs.
  • Xu Yi drew the Flame Python’s attention with a silver hook, caught Xia Zimo, and fled with her as the python pursued them.
  • Xia Zimo woke and slapped Xu Yi, causing him to stumble into the python’s tail; Xu Yi then hurled her toward the Long-haired Big Man.
  • The Flame Python struck Xu Yi into the cliff, but Xu Yi kicked off the wall, charged through its flames, and jumped into its mouth.

Ch. 155Benevolence for Gain

Xu Yi killed the Flame Python by exploiting its intelligence and attacking it from within, then gave healing pills to the injured Yin Mountain Bandits. Xiong Kui began explaining how the murals revealed the identity of the tomb’s owner.

  • Xu Yi explained how he used the Dragon Crocodile Armor and Sonic Flying Daggers to kill the Flame Python from inside its mouth.
  • Xiong Kui thanked Xu Yi for saving the Yin Mountain Sect, but Xu Yi discovered the serpent’s damaged remains had little value.
  • Xu Yi gave the Yin Mountain Bandits Essence Restoration Pills, and their injuries, including the striking-eyed woman’s, began to improve.
  • Xu Yi asked Xiong Kui about the tomb’s owner and size, and Xiong Kui said the murals had helped them identify the great personage buried there.

Ch. 156The King of Killing

Xu Yi learned that the tomb belonged to King of Killing Jiang Hentian, a long-forgotten general who briefly received a royal title after defeating the Four Kings’ armies. He asked Xiong Kui to break the seal around the Blood Flame Fruit, leaving Xiong Kui torn between repaying Xu Yi and saving his gravely injured sister.

  • Xiong Kui explained that King of Killing Jiang Hentian had crushed the armies of the Four Kings before disappearing after his royal enfeoffment.
  • Xu Yi realized the tomb held the remains of a powerful historical figure and turned his attention to its treasures.
  • Xu Yi asked Xiong Kui to break the Lesser Barrier protecting the Blood Flame Fruit in exchange for repaying his debt.
  • Xiong Kui hesitated because the Blood Flame Fruit could save his gravely injured younger sister.

Ch. 157Repaying a Favor

Xiong Kui offered Xu Yi the Yin Mountain Sect’s inherited stones in exchange for the Blood Flame Fruit, which Xia Zimo refused to let them trade. Xu Yi gave up on the fruit and declined the stones, then asked Xiong Kui for a favor.

  • Xiong Kui asked Xu Yi to give him the Blood Flame Fruit to treat Xia Zimo, and Xu Yi rebuked him for asking for more after being saved.
  • Xiong Kui offered an Extreme Yang Stone and an array stone for the fruit, but the recovering Xia Zimo objected because they were inherited treasures.
  • Xiong Kui and the Yin Mountain Bandits tried to break the array, but Xia Zimo threatened to cut her throat unless they stopped.
  • Xia Zimo explained that she would not let the sect trade away their master’s legacy for her, and the Yin Mountain Bandits lowered their flags.
  • Xu Yi declined the stones, and Xiong Kui and the Yin Mountain Bandits thanked him for his kindness.
  • Xu Yi said he had a request, and Xiong Kui promised to obey while Xia Zimo warned him not to make careless promises.

Ch. 158Minor World-Breaking Technique

Xu Yi persuaded Xiong Kui to honor his promise by teaching him the Yin Mountain Sect’s Minor World-Breaking Technique. Xia Zimo agreed to the transfer after securing Xu Yi’s Blood Oath not to teach it to others and to repay the sect when called upon.

  • Xu Yi turned down the strange stones and asked Xiong Kui to teach him the Minor World-Breaking Technique instead.
  • The Lion-nosed Big Man explained that the technique was the Yin Mountain Sect’s founding secret and could not normally be taught to outsiders.
  • Xia Zimo urged Xiong Kui to keep his promise and proposed conditions for teaching Xu Yi the technique.
  • Xia Zimo required Xu Yi to swear a Blood Oath not to pass on the art and to repay the sect without violating his principles or existing interests.
  • Xu Yi swore the oath, and Xia Zimo told Xiong Kui to teach him the Minor World-Breaking Technique in detail.

Ch. 159Passing on the Technique

Xiong Kui taught Xu Yi the Minor World-Breaking Technique and explained why it normally required years of Soul Power cultivation. Xu Yi received a set of Five Elements Flags and announced that he would use the technique to break the barrier and retrieve the Blood Flame Fruit for Xia Zimo.

  • Xiong Kui taught Xu Yi the Minor World-Breaking Technique, which used Soul Power and Five Elements Flags to tear through Five Elements seals.
  • Xu Yi questioned the technique’s limits, while Xiong Kui warned that even powerful practitioners could not break every seal.
  • Xiong Kui explained that mastering the technique alone could take twenty or thirty years, and Xia Zimo teased Xu Yi for being caught in her trap.
  • Qi Ming objected to the deception, so Xiong Kui offered Xu Yi another treasure; Xu Yi asked for and received a set of Five Elements Flags.
  • Xu Yi sensed his connection to the flags and offered to use the Minor World-Breaking Technique to break the barrier and retrieve the Blood Flame Fruit for Xia Zimo.

Ch. 160Earth Scorpion

Xu Yi used the Five Elements Flags to break the barrier around the Blood Flame Fruit, awakening a giant Earth Scorpion beneath the floor. He fled with the fruit, but the scorpion caught up and struck him toward a wall.

  • Xu Yi controlled all five flags at once and used the Minor World-Breaking Technique to destroy the pillar’s barrier.
  • Xu Yi grabbed the Blood Flame Fruit as the Earth Scorpion burst from beneath the floor.
  • Qi Ming recognized the creature as an Earth Scorpion and warned everyone to run.
  • Xu Yi fled with the fruit, and the scorpion chased him by following its fragrance.
  • Xu Yi dodged a pincer strike with the Return to Origin Steps, but the scorpion scraped his shoulder and sent him flying toward the wall.

Ch. 161The Art of Cleverly Slaying

Xu Yi used the Yin River’s Yin Lice to kill the Earth Scorpion, then hurried to the hall and found Xia Zimo fighting seven or eight wandering martial artists. The chapter left Xia Zimo disarmed and surrounded as the men’s weapons fell toward her.

  • Xu Yi crossed the river and hurried toward the hall after hearing a fierce fight.
  • Xu Yi found Xia Zimo wounded and fighting seven or eight wandering martial artists beside two screens of light.
  • Bone-piercing nails struck Xia Zimo, and a spiked club knocked her short sword away as the martial artists attacked her.

Ch. 162Light Curtain

Xu Yi rescued the gravely wounded Xia Zimo and treated her with pills after learning the Blood Flame Fruit was poisonous to take directly. He questioned the surviving adventurer about the two curtains of light and learned that more martial artists were entering the exposed tomb, while Qi Ming and the others’ disappearance remained unexplained.

  • Xu Yi protected Xia Zimo from the adventurers, broke their weapons, and knocked them down with a flurry of slaps.
  • Xu Yi tried to give Xia Zimo the Blood Flame Fruit, but she warned him it was poisonous and could not be eaten directly.
  • Xu Yi gave Xia Zimo Qi Ming’s Essence Restoration Pill and Qi Replenishing Pill, and she stopped coughing blood but fell unconscious.
  • Xu Yi realized the tomb had been exposed and that the two curtains of light might be connected to Qi Ming, Xiong Kui, and the others’ disappearance.
  • Xu Yi learned from the bald adventurer that the white curtain had been there first and that the black curtain appeared after people were drawn into the white one; he then knocked the man unconscious with a punch.

Ch. 163Water Arrives

Xu Yi tested the strange light curtains in the Ancient Tomb and hid when newcomers blasted open the blocked passage. Outside the tomb, the Shui family arrived and drove away the crowd with Shui Mingyue’s deadly attack before preparing to set up a formation.

  • Xu Yi confirmed that the white light curtain sucked in people tied to Dragon Binding Ropes, while the black light curtain severed the ropes, and he hesitated to enter either one.
  • Xu Yi sensed an approaching group, hid near Xia Zimo, and survived as they blasted through the passage blocked with Thunderclap Pellets.
  • More than a hundred people gathered outside the Ancient Tomb, but they hesitated to enter until the Shui family arrived on Cloud-Parting Cranes.
  • Shui Zhongjing declared the tomb forbidden ground, and Shui Mingyue killed the man who challenged him and more than a dozen others, scattering the crowd.

  • Shui Zhongjing and thirteen Shui family disciples placed five Soul Suppressing Steles around the original stele, causing the underground curtain of light to vanish and sealing the Ancient Tomb.
  • The Eagle-nosed Middle-aged Man warned Shui Zhongjing to recover his strength because a fierce battle might be coming.
  • Chen Fenglei arrived aboard a dragon boat and provoked Shui Zhongjing, but the Eagle-nosed Middle-aged Man struck him with an energy hammer and ordered him to stop.
  • Zhou Shirong reminded Chen Fenglei to follow the Sect Master's instructions and prioritize securing the treasure, then stored the dragon boat in a circular disk.
  • Shui Zhongjing asserted that the sealed tomb belonged to the Shui family, but Chen Fenglei rejected his claim and ordered his men to seal the tomb.

Ch. 165Vertical and Horizontal

Chen Fenglei used the Seven Orifice Exquisite Pagoda to seal the tomb alongside Shui Zhongjing's Soul Suppressing Steles, leaving both sides unable to open it alone. Fairy Yuqing and the major powers of Guang'an arrived, and the seven forces formed two rival camps over the tomb expedition.

  • Chen Fenglei and Lingxiao Pavilion sealed the tomb with the Seven Orifice Exquisite Pagoda, matching Shui Zhongjing's seal and creating an impasse.
  • Fairy Yuqing arrived with Xue Zihan and the Tianshan Sect, and Zhou Shirong greeted them before asking Fairy Yuqing to resolve the standoff.
  • Fairy Yuqing approached Shui Zhongjing, but he refused to withdraw from the competition for the tomb's opportunity.

  • The Three Great High Gates agreed to unite against outsiders, while the Four Great Families closed ranks against them.

Ch. 166The Gathering Storm

The leaders of the Three Great High Gates and Four Great Families agreed that younger disciples would explore the Ancient Tomb, setting entry limits and drawing lots for the order. The Tianshan Sect entered first and discovered signs that someone had already reached the tomb.

  • Elder Lei argued that the Ancient Tomb should be a trial for the younger generation, and Chen Fenglei challenged his motives.
  • Old Ancestor Shui explained that the tomb’s Yin restriction suppressed powerful blood and qi, and Qiu Changtian entered briefly before retreating with frost on his face.
  • Old Ancestor Shui reset the Soul Suppressing Stele, allowing Qi Sea Realm disciples to enter; the groups agreed on seven places each, with nine for the Shui Family.
  • The leaders drew lots, and Fairy Yuqing secured the first entry for seven Tianshan Sect disciples.
  • Xue Zihan spotted a faint footprint inside the tomb, and Jun Wuhui organized the Tianshan Sect disciples to follow the traces at full speed.

Ch. 167Hostage (Grand Alliance Leader Lushuishan Ren)

Xu Yi seized Xue Zihan when she mistook him for dead, then used her as a hostage while trying to protect Xia Zimo from the Tianshan Sect disciples. The standoff continued as Xu Yi finally saw Xue Zihan’s face and was stunned by her beauty.

  • Jun Wuhui blasted open the blocked passage, and the Tianshan Sect disciples entered a hall littered with bodies and a dead Flame Python.
  • Jun Wuhui ordered the disciples to search the fallen for treasures and kill anyone still alive, while Xiaowan suggested entering the white Space Gate.
  • Xue Zihan found Xu Yi’s Sumeru Ring and searched him, but Xu Yi suddenly sat up and seized her Dazhui Acupoint.
  • Xu Yi called out to Xia Zimo to make the disciples think she was connected to him, and Xia Zimo woke and traded insults with him.
  • Xia Zimo attacked Jun Wuhui with a silver shuttle, but he deflected it and slapped her; Xu Yi threatened to cut her face, then saw Xue Zihan and was struck by her beauty.

Ch. 168Teleportation

  • Xu Yi pretended to seek compensation for the deaths of his bandits and demanded forty thousand gold from Jun Wuhui.
  • Xu Yi snatched Xue Zihan’s Sumeru Ring and threatened her while the Tianshan Sect gathered the money.
  • Jun Wuhui tried to rescue Xue Zihan when Xu Yi reached for the money, but Xu Yi anticipated him and shoved her toward Jun Wuhui.
  • Xu Yi took the money bag, fled through the black light curtain, and Xue Zihan pursued him after Jun Wuhui’s attack missed.
  • Xu Yi awoke beside a river in a gorge, drank the water, and retrieved a flask and leather pouch from the Sumeru Ring.

Ch. 169"The Vegetable Patch"

Xu Yi discovered a garden of Precious Medicines and the spiritual soil he needed to save Qiu Wa inside the tomb, but a warding restriction stopped him from reaching it. The chapter ended with him preparing to confront the barrier.

  • Xu Yi used rare medicines to treat Qiu Wa, then followed the river upstream through a pocket world he realized was inside the Ancient Tomb.
  • Xu Yi entered a ruined hut and found a journal identifying the tomb’s master as King of Killing Jiang Hentian, along with a robe and whisk that he stored in his Sumeru Ring.
  • Xu Yi discovered a small garden containing nearly twenty Precious Medicines and more than a thousand handfuls of spiritual soil, which could help save Qiu Wa.
  • A deep-blue warding net struck Xu Yi and hurled him into the hut when he approached the garden, and he returned to inspect the barrier.

Ch. 170Joy and Sorrow

Xu Yi broke into a warded medicinal garden, but its treasures and soil self-destructed before he could save Qiu Wa, so he followed the sound of fighting. Elsewhere in the valley, Shui Zhongjing and Shui Mingyue were being pushed back by Jun Wuhui and another Tianshan Sect disciple.

  • Xu Yi used the Five Elements Flags and the Minor World-Breaking Technique to break the ward around the medicinal garden.
  • Xu Yi pulled up Precious Medicine, but the plants and spiritual soil crumbled to ash, leaving him grieving the loss of his chance to save Qiu Wa.
  • Xu Yi realized the ward had destroyed the garden's contents when breached, cursed King of Killing, and headed toward nearby fighting to assess the situation.
  • Shui Zhongjing fought Jun Wuhui and another Tianshan Sect disciple while trying to protect Shui Mingyue, and Jun Wuhui wounded his shoulder with the Three Yuan Finger.
  • The gathered Shui family and Tianshan Sect fighters continued their two-on-two battle, with the Tianshan Sect gaining the advantage as Shui Zhongjing split his attention between both opponents.

Ch. 171Contest

Jun Wuhui and Shui Zhongjing tried to keep a patch of spiritual soil and its rare medicinal plants hidden, but Liu Fengzhu exposed it and forced the three sides to agree to share the treasure. Their first attempt to approach the black earth triggered a protective formation, and Liu Zhufeng prepared to break it.

  • Zhou Shirong and Liu Fengzhu arrived as Jun Wuhui and Shui Zhongjing fought, and Liu Fengzhu stopped Zhou from leaving to seek Xue Zihan.
  • Liu Fengzhu struck Shui Zhongjing, and their clash flattened the thicket and revealed rare medicines growing in spiritual soil.
  • Shui Mingyue proposed that the Shui family, Jun Wuhui's side, and Liu Fengzhu's side split the treasure, and the others agreed.
  • Several people rushed toward the black earth but were repelled by flashes of blue light from a protective formation.
  • Liu Zhufeng summoned his treasure saber and prepared to break the formation with the Thirteen Styles of the Army Breaker.

Ch. 172The Daoist

The factions gathered around a Spirit Soil garden full of Precious Medicine, but an Abyssal Array rendered their attacks useless. After the crowd failed to break through, a Daoist emerged from the peach grove.

  • Shui Zhongjing identified the barrier as an Abyssal Array after his attack vanished into it.
  • Shui Zhongjing summoned Shui family experts, and Liu Fengzhu and Zhou Shirong were joined by Lingxiao Pavilion experts; the commotion drew people from several other factions.
  • Newcomers rushed the barrier and were thrown back, while Liu Zhufeng offered first place to anyone who could break the array.
  • The gathered experts attacked the Abyssal Array together, but the Spirit Soil garden remained untouched and they eventually stopped.
  • A Daoist emerged from the eastern peach grove after singing a poem.

Ch. 173The Immortal

A mysterious Daoist appeared in the Ancient Tomb, claimed it had once been his garden, and astonished the gathered martial artists by controlling five flags without visible qi. He denied being an immortal, but the crowd still questioned his cultivation and his claim to the site.

  • Jun Wuhui demanded to know who the Daoist was and why he had entered the forbidden ground.
  • Liu Fengzhu recognized the lotus-patterned robe and asked whether the Daoist came from Wuji Temple.
  • The Daoist said he had lived in the Ancient Tomb for nearly a hundred years and claimed it had once been his garden.
  • Shui Zhongjing challenged the Daoist's story, so the Daoist made five black flags float in the air and sparked cries that he had reached the Object Manipulation Realm.
  • The Daoist explained that the flags were made of Origin Heart Wood and denied having attained immortality.
  • The crowd asked the Daoist what realm he had reached and what proof he had that the treasured land belonged to him.

Ch. 174Striving to Outbid One Another

A Daoist demonstrated that he could lift the restrictions over the Spiritual Soil Garden, then chose Jun Wuhui to speak with him about the outside world. After hearing Jun Wuhui’s account, the Daoist considered leaving the tomb but worried about what would happen to his garden.

  • The Daoist used five small flags to lift the garden’s restriction web briefly, astonishing the gathered cultivators before letting it fall back into place.
  • Jun Wuhui silenced the crowd by pointing out that the garden belonged to the Daoist, and the others began flattering him in hopes of receiving Precious Medicine.
  • The Daoist recited a saying about worldly profit and gain, then chose Jun Wuhui to speak on behalf of the crowd.
  • The Daoist asked whether the Ji Family still ruled and what had changed in the world, and Jun Wuhui gave him a detailed account.
  • The Daoist said he might leave the tomb but hesitated over the fate of his Spiritual Soil Garden, while Jun Wuhui hoped to benefit from his decision.

Ch. 175A Good Idea

Xia Zimo proposed that the Daoist auction his twenty-three precious medicines to the thirty-three people present, resolving their dispute while earning him money for entering the mortal world. The Daoist accepted her suggestion, leaving the group to compete for the medicines.

  • Jun Wuhui suggested that the Daoist take the precious medicines outside, prompting the Daoist to offer the group a chance to request them.
  • Xia Zimo interrupted Jun Wuhui and warned that there were too few medicines for everyone to receive one.
  • Jun Wuhui tried to silence Xia Zimo, but Liu Fengzhu and the crowd accused him of seeking an unfair advantage.
  • Xia Zimo reminded the Daoist that he would need money in the mortal world and suggested that the medicines go to the highest bidders.
  • The Daoist praised Xia Zimo’s solution and agreed to sell the medicines through an auction.
