Xu Yi reunited with Xue Zihan, then turned on Niu Ganghuo and followed a trail of staged conflicts to the weapon-refining schemes in Immortal King City. After infiltrating the Xing Tian Sect and seizing its weapon spirits, he entered a high-tier trading hall and bid an Azure Weapon Spirit for the unfinished Thousand Illusions Heavy Thunder Sword.

• Xu Yi admitted to Ice Cloud Fairy that he had written the poem, and she revealed herself as Xue Zihan before the two reunited.
• Xue Zihan left Xu Yi a cryptic note, and Xu Yi took her Bing Yun pendant from Niu Ganghuo before turning the crowd against him and killing him.
• Xu Yi escaped the pursuit, gathered rusted weapons, and learned from Chu Yuan that the Daoist Affinity Squad planted weapons to keep Immortal King City busy.
• Xu Yi disguised himself as Li Daoyuan, infiltrated the Xing Tian Sect, and stole Dong Mingzi’s clear Qi during the Council’s attack on Chao Qian’s squad.
• Xu Yi defeated Wang Bodang and four Fourth Realm experts with the Ghost Mother Puppets, a thunderstorm, and the Maxim heavy machine gun, then collected Chao Qian’s weapon spirit.

Xu Yi was betrayed by the Western Underworld Lord and Tong Fengliu, then captured by the Golden Roc Demon King’s allies and forced to refine his stolen treasure. After forging the Thousand Illusions Heavy Thunder Sword, Xu Yi broke free and attacked his captors, leaving Demon King Kui Li and the Heaven Devouring Demon King confronting him.

• Xu Yi traded for the Thousand Illusions Heavy Thunder Sword and Azure Weapon Spirits, escaped an attack at the trading center, and later killed Lu Wanglai with his army.
• The Western Underworld Lord and Tong Fengliu tried to seize another Azure Weapon Spirit from Xu Yi, but Xu Yi killed them both and took back the treasure.
• At Fubo Mountain, the Golden Roc Demon King’s allies tortured Xu Yi and stole his Maxim heavy machine gun, Dragon of Stars, and other possessions before imprisoning him in the Seven-Colored Refining Cave.
• Xu Yi secretly recovered his treasures and spent months refining the Maxim and forging Purple Firmament Swords, then combined them with the Immortal Slaying Sword to create the Thousand Illusions Heavy Thunder Sword.
• After killing Jiang Baishun, Xu Yi disguised himself at Niu Gangfeng’s birthday gathering, seized his Dragon of Stars, and forced the gathered guests under his control.
• Xu Yi began a breakthrough while Huang Mei negotiated with Demon King Kui Li and the Heaven Devouring Demon King, then broke through the formation and killed Niu Gangfeng.
• Demon King Kui Li attacked Xu Yi, while the Heaven Devouring Demon King killed Shi Wenjie and released the energy in his Dragon of Stars for Huang Mei to absorb.

After surviving an Underworld Court inquiry, Xu Yi accepted a post on Tu Hun Star and gathered cultivators to secure resources for his breakthrough. He trapped and hunted strange beasts with the help of a little wolfdog, but a massive beast tide and several Green Core Strange Beasts threatened his operation.

• Xu Yi proved he had killed Old Demon Kongxu and the two demon kings, then defeated the Western Underworld Lord and left Fengdu City for Tu Hun Star.
• Xu Yi endured the True Gang Void Domain, survived attacks by Hurricane Hall cultivators and a beast tide, and took Yang Wufang and his companions prisoner.
• Xu Yi raided seven nearby caves for Star Spirit Essence, then discovered a subterranean nest of strange beasts and planned to capture them for resources.
• Xu Yi appointed Shi Qinglai to organize his growing force and had the cultivators build an iron house on Scorpion Tail Mountain to trap the beasts.
• Xu Yi lured more than two thousand strange beasts into the iron house and collected their cores after most died inside.
• Xu Yi fed spirit liquid to a little wolfdog, injected his blood into its beast core, and used it to summon strange beasts.
• Xu Yi drew nearly ten thousand beasts toward the iron house and led the tide through hidden caverns, while Yang Wufang's squad fought a Green Core Strange Beast.
• When two more Green Core Strange Beasts attacked and a much larger tide arrived, Xu Yi ordered eight cultivators to lead the beasts away in four directions.

Xu Yi survived the beast tide, broke through to Human Immortal, and strengthened his weapons before traveling to Base Number Three. There he faced Zhao Pu and Zhang Cheng’s plots and exposed himself to them just as Pang Weiguo arrived.

• Xu Yi and his forces fought the Green Core Strange Beasts until one advanced to White Core, and Xu Yi trapped the wounded beast in the Four-Colored Seal before later killing it.
• Xu Yi recovered, raised the little wolfdog until it formed a Green Core, and gathered supplies and primordial sinkholes while Desolate Charm escaped capture and returned to him.
• Xu Yi lured Li Zheyan’s forces into a beast tide, killed the Lijing Hall group, forced Su Donglai to serve him, and used the resources he obtained to restore his sword and refine his treasure.
• Xu Yi led the beast tide away from Ruolan Cave City and traveled to Base Number Three, where Zhao Pu assigned him to a mine and Zhao Si showed him the Kanan Domain.
• A beast tide overwhelmed Mine Pit Number Three, but Xu Yi and the little wolfdog survived, and Zhao Pu blamed Xu Yi and demoted him, while Zhang Cheng intervened and later arranged an attack on him.
• Xu Yi defeated Boss Gu and his men, learned Zhang Cheng had hired them, and went with Boss Gu to confront Zhao Pu and Zhang Cheng.
• Xu Yi revealed himself as Lei Chiyan and accused Zhao Pu and Zhang Cheng of plotting against him, but Pang Weiguo arrived and ordered Xu Yi to toast the two men.
