Shangqing Spirit Treasure Great Celestial Venerable watched Qi WuHuo face the tribulation without interfering, while Qi WuHuo used his new character [Peace] to prepare for battle and traveled to the Underworld. The chapter left him confronting Di Ting in the City of Wrongful Deaths and asking whether Di Ting had schemed against him.

• Shangqing Spirit Treasure Great Celestial Venerable chose not to rescue Qi WuHuo, hoping he would overcome the tribulation by his own strength.
• Qi WuHuo created thirty Jade Talismans bearing [Peace] and gave them to Yun Qin to place across the Demon Race’s mountain ranges.

Qi WuHuo confronted Listening Truth in the Underworld, learned that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had sacrificed himself to protect Jin Province’s souls, and struck a wager for Listening Truth’s help. The chapter ended with Central Ghost Emperor Zhou Qi learning that Qi WuHuo had returned to Fengdu with a gift.

• Qi WuHuo accused Listening Truth of manipulating events around Qing Jingwei’s Great Sage ritual and punched him using the Mount Tai Prefect’s Imperial Decree.
• Listening Truth explained that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had saved Jin Province’s souls from Donghua’s attacks but was gravely injured, and Qi WuHuo gave the Bodhisattva Buddhist beads to aid his recovery.

Qi WuHuo offered Fengdu’s sealed Underworld spirits a chance to escape by becoming earth deities, and Central Ghost Emperor Zhou Qi agreed to lend twelve for a trial. After the Eastern Ghost Emperor learned Qi WuHuo was no longer the Northern Emperor’s envoy, Zhou Qi realized he had been deceived and decided to kill him.

• Central Ghost Emperor Zhou Qi suppressed his urge to kill Qi WuHuo, fearing the Northern Emperor’s retaliation, and welcomed him to Fengdu’s banquet.
• Qi WuHuo announced that he could help the Seventy-Two Departments’ Chief Officers break free of their seals by becoming Mountain Gods, and Zhou Qi agreed to lend twelve Underworld spirits for a trial.
• The Eastern Ghost Emperor told Zhou Qi that Great Emperor Changsheng of the South Pole had revealed Qi WuHuo was no longer the Northern Emperor’s envoy and had urged Fengdu to join his ranks.
• The Eastern Ghost Emperor explained that Qi WuHuo was Supreme disciple Xuanwei, held the Dongyue Seal, and could enfeoff earth deities.
• Zhou Qi flew into a rage after learning Qi WuHuo had deceived him and ordered that they kill him.

Central Ghost Emperor Zhou Qi betrayed the Northern Ghost Emperor and tried to seize the Dongyue Seal, then tortured and killed Qi WuHuo to learn how Yin Deities could become Earthly Deities. Qi WuHuo’s final gamble triggered the Mount Tai Prefect Sacrifice, and Dao Ancestor Tai Shang appeared to praise him as the Mount Tai Prefect.

• The Eastern Ghost Emperor revealed Great Emperor Changsheng of the South Pole’s token, prompting Zhou Qi to turn against Qi WuHuo and attack the other Ghost Emperors.
• Zhou Qi suppressed the Seventy-Two Chief Officers, seized the Dongyue Seal, and stopped his sword when Qi WuHuo warned that Great Emperor Changsheng of the South Pole was using him in a struggle between the Four Emperors.
• Zhou Qi interrogated Qi WuHuo for the method to enshrine Yin Deities as Earthly Deities, then used the answer “[Tai]” to pierce Qi WuHuo with chains and leave him near death.

Qi WuHuo met Tai Shang in the chaos after drawing near to the Dao, explained how the character [Tai] let him turn the Underworld spirits’ power back on itself and survive, and rejected absorbing that power to preserve his pure Dao heart. Tai Shang praised his unique Fengdu ritual and invited him to discuss the Dao; Qi WuHuo began by asking about the Four Emperors.

• Tai Shang told Qi WuHuo that he had seen his Teacher because he was drawing near to the Dao, and promised to seek him out and guide him again if he died.
• Qi WuHuo explained that the character [Tai] he had created caused the power of Fengdu’s spirits to flow back into him, giving him a chance to survive and break free.
• Qi WuHuo said he would not absorb the spirits’ power to advance, because it would taint the purity of his Dao heart.
• Tai Shang praised Qi WuHuo’s unique Fengdu ritual as the foundation for an Emperor’s Dao, while recognizing that Qi WuHuo had other plans.
• Tai Shang created a place for them to sit and discuss the Dao, and Qi WuHuo asked about the Four Emperors.

Tai Shang explained the realms above the Great Emperor and the three paths Qi WuHuo could choose. After reflecting on the suffering and strife he had witnessed across the six realms, Qi WuHuo declared his own path: becoming Mount Tai Prefect and suppressing Heaven, Earth, Man, God, and Ghost.

• Tai Shang explained the Great Grade, the authority of the Four Emperors, and the distinct paths of the South Pole and North Pole.
• Tai Shang recounted how Haotian defeated the greatest powers of his era, established the Heavenly Court, and later fell while pursuing his Dao.
• Tai Shang described the three paths above the Great Emperor: Emperor and Pole, Purity and Ancestor, or the path of blazing strength followed by Xuanzhen.
• Qi WuHuo told Tai Shang that a reincarnated version of himself would be him, yet not himself, and said Tai Shang need not break his vow to guide him back.

Qi WuHuo reaffirmed his resolve to follow the Dao, and the Supreme One promised to teach him the divine art One Qi Becomes Three if he survived his tribulation. When Huang Yao’s divination showed Qi WuHuo dead, the stalled calamity surged across the Six Realms, and Houtu Empress Earthly Deity awoke from a dream of his death filled with killing intent.

• Qi WuHuo told the Supreme One he would follow the Dao even if it cost him his life, and the Supreme One praised his resolve.
• The Supreme One promised to teach Qi WuHuo One Qi Becomes Three after he overcame his tribulation, and asked him to pass a message to the other two five hundred years later.
• Huang Yao deduced that Gouchen’s schemes connected several powerful figures and that a calamity was gathering across the Six Realms, then agreed to divine Qi WuHuo’s whereabouts for Xiao Pengcao.
• Huang Yao’s divination rod for Qi WuHuo cracked and turned bloodred, making Xiao Pengcao weep as Huang Yao realized his death would unleash the calamity at several times its former strength.

After learning that Wuhuo had been killed in Fengdu City while trying to save her, Empress Houtu confronted the Heavenly Court and struck down the Judicial True Lord. She renounced her Imperial Venerable authority, led the Earthly Deities in casting Heaven aside, and awakened Mount Buzhou as the age of war began.

• Primordial Zhi Yuanjun sensed Empress Houtu’s distress and learned that Central Ghost Emperor Zhou Qi had killed Wuhuo in Fengdu City.
• Empress Houtu concluded that Gouchen and Great Emperor Changsheng of the South Pole had targeted her through Wuhuo, and she vowed to destroy Fengdu and seek revenge beyond it.
• Empress Houtu told the Heavenly Court’s envoys that Wuhuo had died saving her, but the Judicial True Lord demanded that she accept the loss for the greater good.
• Empress Houtu blasted the Judicial True Lord through Ruizhu Palace’s gate and crippled him by pinning him to her stone stele.
• Empress Houtu abandoned her Heavenly Court authority and declared that the Earthly Deities would cast Heaven aside, prompting them to break their investiture seals and edicts.

Houtu Empress Earthly Deity revealed the Sky-Shattering Mace formed from Mount Buzhou and marched to challenge Great Emperor Gouchen, while the Jade Emperor tried to contain the crisis in Heaven. Judicial True Lord died urging the Jade Emperor to stop the coming kalpa, and Immortal Yun Qin discovered Qi WuHuo’s apparent corpse in Fengdu City.

• Houtu Empress Earthly Deity summoned Mount Buzhou, formed the Sky-Shattering Mace, and headed for Great Emperor Gouchen’s Celestial Palace.
• Judicial True Lord denounced Judicial Great Celestial Venerable’s call to mobilize Heaven and pleaded with the Jade Emperor to mediate and prevent a kalpa.
• When the Jade Emperor declined to punish Judicial Great Celestial Venerable, Judicial True Lord killed himself to press his plea, and Judicial Great Celestial Venerable took his head and admitted guilt.

After WuHuo’s apparent death, Yun Qin refused to believe he was gone and hurried toward Jinzhou as rebellions threw the Heavenly Court into chaos. Great Emperor Ziwei crushed the revolts and told the amnesiac Jade Emperor to regain his power within a thousand years, while Di Ting’s changed hexagram suggested WuHuo was still alive.

• Yun Qin grieved over WuHuo’s apparent death, insisted he would return, and set off toward Jinzhou to complete what he had entrusted to her.
• The Plague Department, part of the Fire Department, the Great Year Department, and Water Virtue Star Lord rebelled against Heaven as the Heavenly Court’s authority faltered.
• Great Emperor Zhuling stopped Water Virtue Star Lord from dragging the Heavenly River down, while the North Pole Exorcism Department executed the rebellious Fire gods and destroyed the Plague Department.
• Great Emperor Ziwei returned with the Plague Great Emperor’s severed head, explained that he defended order rather than the Jade Emperor, and gave the amnesiac ruler a thousand years to grow strong enough to join the coming struggle.
• Great Emperor Ziwei led the Exorcism Department to hold the line beyond the South Pole, while the Jade Emperor wondered where the prophesied Yu was and asked after Demon-Subduing.
• Di Ting and Huang Yao repeatedly divined that Heaven and Earth were blocked, then Di Ting recognized a changed hexagram called Tai and concluded that WuHuo was not completely dead.

As the Six Realms descended into conflict, Qi WuHuo was transformed during Zhou Qi’s ritual to summon the Mount Tai Prefect. He faced the enraged ghosts and gods in the Underworld and began to wield the authority the ritual had gathered.

• Great Emperor Changsheng of the South Pole and Great Emperor Ziwei of the North Pole confronted each other over their past and the death of the Empress of Wa, then prepared to fight as Houtu attacked Gouchen Palace.
• The Jade Emperor received reports that the Demon Race had assembled a million troops, humanity had sent a vast cavalry force toward the Demon Realm, and the Fengdu Ghost Emperors were trying to escape the Northern Emperor’s seal.
• Zhou Qi began the Mount Tai Prefect ritual in Fengdu, but the power gathered by the ghosts and gods flowed into the chained Qi WuHuo instead.
• Qi WuHuo broke free as the furious ghosts and gods charged, and his transformation stopped the Underworld’s Yin energy from flooding into the living world.

Qi WuHuo used the Mount Tai Prefect Sacrifice to destroy Fengdu’s evil spirits and pursued Central Ghost Emperor Zhou Qi into the heavens, where he confronted the South and North Poles. The chapter ended as his sword, after killing Zhou Qi, continued toward Great Emperor Changsheng of the South Pole.

• Qi WuHuo invoked the Mount Tai Prefect Sacrifice and destroyed the Evil Gods and fierce ghosts in Fengdu, freeing many wronged souls to reincarnate.
• Central Ghost Emperor Zhou Qi betrayed the Eastern and Western Ghost Emperors and fled toward Great Emperor Changsheng of the South Pole, while the Northern Ghost Emperor suppressed the two brothers.
• After Di Ting helped him locate Zhou Qi, Qi WuHuo commanded the Yellow Springs’ spiritual veins to form chains that pierced and pursued the fleeing Ghost Emperor into the heavens.

Qi WuHuo, the Mount Tai Prefect, joined Great Emperor Ziwei of the North Pole in confronting Great Emperor Changsheng of the South Pole and halted the tribulation by shattering his newly formed Dao foundation. After Great Emperor Changsheng withdrew and the Heavenly Court’s order steadied, the young Jade Emperor watched Qi WuHuo through the Haotian Mirror as Qi WuHuo looked back at him.

• Qi WuHuo’s sword forced Great Emperor Changsheng of the South Pole to defend himself, while Great Emperor Ziwei of the North Pole and the assembled gods held their positions.
• The young Jade Emperor and Xuan Du watched through the Haotian Mirror, and Xuan Du steadied his shaking alchemy furnace before warning that the confrontation could either halt the tribulation or shatter the order of the Six Realms.

• Great Master Xuan Du rejected the young Jade Emperor’s suggestion that Mount Tai Prefect rule, then used pills to keep the Jade Emperor’s consciousness stable as Haotian’s power threatened to overwhelm him.
• Great Emperor Gouchen fought Houtu Empress Earthly Deity while the Demon Emperor was held back by thirty-six earthly gods, and both armies clashed as the gods tried to protect the Earth Veins and civilians.

With help from the Underworld spirits, Qi WuHuo played an ancient slaughtering melody on his zither, and the sound of Fuxi returned to the mortal world.

• Gouchen attacked Houtu and condemned her compassion, but Houtu summoned Mount Buzhou to pin down his palace and shattered his armor, then vowed to knock him from his sovereign’s throne.

• Qi WuHuo’s first Fuxi Qin blast swept across three hundred li, killing demons and injuring Heavenly Soldiers while Yun Zhiyi and the Weaver Girl fought Lord Candle Dragon.

With the Dragon Emperor's final request fulfilled in spirit and thirty powerful fiends at his command, Qi WuHuo called the Gods of Mount Tai forward to receive their titles.

• The two Heavenly Kings silenced the soldiers who called Qi WuHuo “Wu,” insisting that the title required formal approval.
• Old Yellow Ox protected the retreating demons, warned them not to make enemies of Square Inch Mountain, and urged them to avoid the Demon Emperor’s influence.
