Lei Dong strengthened his escape abilities, survived the Sea God's Wrath, and became stranded in the Chaotic Archipelago. After recovering on Fisherman Island and advancing to the eighth layer of Foundation Establishment, he began attacking the Wang Clan to protect Mute Girl before leaving for Kang Prefecture.

• The Battle Hall Master revealed herself as the Heavenly Demon, promoted Lei Dong and Zhang Heng to core members, and ordered Lei Dong to knead her shoulders.
• Lei Dong sought a way to escape Golden Core cultivators, acquired damaged Asura King Wings, and had Wang Lei restore and refine them with help from Tian Mo and the Heavenly Demon.
• When war broke out between the Yin Sha Sect and Tianyin Palace, Lei Dong led missions against the Qian Lineage, then fled Tantai Bingyun and Sima Jie after they pursued him across the sea.
• Lei Dong and Tantai Bingyun helped the Yaksha King destroy the Sea God's Wrath, but Lei Dong was knocked unconscious and washed ashore after the vortex vanished.
• The Mute Girl rescued Lei Dong and cared for him while he recovered, and he discovered that her blood attracted valuable Golden Spirit Fish and protected her from abusive fishmongers.

Lei Dong joined Qian Luo’s team to hunt Golden Core Demon Beasts, helped Qian Luo reach the Golden Core Stage, and grew stronger while battling rival cultivators at sea. After learning that reaching Kang Prefecture required crossing Zhao Prefecture and the Great Desert of Death, Lei Dong prepared his team for the long journey and continued searching for a way home.

• Lei Dong left Mute Girl with the Wang Clan’s valuables and traveled to Canglan Island, where he joined Captain Qian’s sea-hunting team.
• Lei Dong helped the team kill Golden Core Demon Beasts and defeat rival cultivators, then pooled Spirit Stones with his companions so Captain Qian could buy an Ascension Pill and attempt a Golden Core breakthrough.
• Lei Dong secluded himself to cultivate with Transformation Pills, then reunited with Qian Luo after Qian Luo reached the Golden Core Stage.
• Lei Dong helped the team hunt a Dragon Turtle, tested his newly formed Critical Ghost General against it, and obtained Dragon Turtle Incense.

He survived White Bone Devil Lord’s pursuit and rescued him from the barbarian forces, leaving with the old devil as a possible ally while a powerful Monster Beast stirred nearby.

• Lei Dong’s group ambushed White Bone Hall, killed Duoqing Shusheng, and formed an alliance with Tantai Bingyun after freeing Black Iron Tower from the Ghost Gu’s control.
• Lei Dong brought his companions to the Senluo Ghost Realm, shared their ghostly gains, and developed the Devil Emperor Art from the ghost-taming techniques Shangguan Hong provided.
• Lei Dong’s group defeated Young Lord White Bone and his Golden Core allies, taking their ships and treasures while keeping Young Lord White Bone alive as protection against White Bone Old Devil.
• Lei Dong and Shangguan Hong reached North Pass as the Alien Race invasion began, and Lei Dong joined City Lord Li’s defenders against the Swift Shadow Insects.
