Corpse Peak beginnings

At age twenty-three, Wen Jiu begins as a Corpse Burier on Flying Immortal Peak. After receiving the Yin Province Corpse Nurturing Art, he chooses the disdained Left Path rather than waiting for conventional advancement. His Daily Settlement Panel allows him to convert accumulated Death Qi into direct progress in both cultivation and corpse mutation. 4

He deliberately demonstrates his resistance to dense Yin energy to burial-ground manager Wang Nian, earning the latter’s attention without revealing the full extent of his abilities. He soon confirms the value of death grounds when his White Zombie devours its first Yin Soul. 6 7
