Background & History
Corpse Peak was founded in Great Cang Calendar year 13,000, 772 years before the Main Peak assessment. Its first Peak Master, a middle-stage Foundation Establishment cultivator, was rewarded with five hundred miles of immortal mountains for contributions in a major war among upper sects. 77
For more than seven centuries, Corpse Peak endured the continual changes of the western Godfall Mountain Range. It remained the foremost of the Six Peaks and was said to surpass two of the Three Sects in influence. 77
A previous Peak Master died after sacrificing himself in the Myriad Demon Abyss to deal with the True Spirit Divine Tree. His death was publicly attributed to a failed Foundation Establishment breakthrough so rivals would not exploit Corpse Peak's instability. 91
Tian Guanbai later served as Peak Master. During the Tian Zuo Alliance conflict, reports of his death destabilized the region; Fang Xiaolin eventually stated that Tian Guanbai had perished and been buried within Godly Absolute Thousand Peaks. 118 141

Major Conflicts
Tian Zuo Alliance Crisis
Following Tian Guanbai's disappearance, Tian Zuo Alliance cultivators, rogue cultivators, and outside raiders exploited Corpse Peak's vulnerability. Five side peaks were plundered, with more than half of their cultivators killed or injured and their Peak Masters and Elders slain. 123
The Tian Zuo Alliance later launched a direct attack on Corpse Peak. Gui Tiansheng used the Corrupting Spirit Array to breach its protective formation, while Liu Qianling and allied forces sought to destroy the peak. 126
Corpse Peak survived the crisis after its enemies suffered major losses, including the deaths of several branch leaders. The hidden unorthodox cultivator later revealed as Wen Jiu was credited with killing Liu Qianling, Gui Tiansheng, and Yan Poshan. 129 132
Recovery Under Han Li
Wen Jiu joined Corpse Peak under the identity of Han Li, accepting a ten-year guest elder arrangement in exchange for a Foundation Establishment body cultivator's demon corpse and cooperation in the Heavenly Ruin Relic expedition. 131 132
His public association with Corpse Peak restored its prestige to the level it held before Tian Guanbai's crisis. Cloud Peak, whose Peak Master Yan Poshan had died, reacted with alarm to the renewed strength of Corpse Peak. 132
Imminent War
Godly Absolute Thousand Peaks ordered Corpse Peak to activate its sect-protecting formation and participate in the approaching war against the Three Gates of the Undead. The peak is not permitted to abandon its main peak, while Dongfang Tiancheng is assigned among the first Foundation Establishment cultivators sent to the Far North Land. 205
Wen Jiu considers Corpse Peak's position especially dire: its location in the Three Polar Lands is expected to place it on the front line, where Qi Refining cultivators are likely to be treated as expendable forces. 205
