Ten days had flown by in the blink of an eye.
In the Calm Belt, on a new, untouched island, the seasons were topsy-turvy, and roars from beasts echoed everywhere.
Extinct beasts could be found all over the island, including Sabertooths, mammoths, and dinosaurs!

At the heart of the island, dark clouds began to gather over the ancient mountain range, which had been bathed in clear skies moments earlier. The clouds spanned nearly a hundred meters. Slender black-and-red bolts of lightning crashed down, and howling winds spread a tremendous shock wave in every direction.
That arrogant, domineering will swept through without restraint, like an invading army. Nothing was spared wherever it went. Beasts, great and small—even grasshoppers—were all knocked unconscious, one wave after another, without end.
On a distant mountaintop, Crocodile and Stussy watched the crackling black-and-red lightning at the island's center. Both looked haggard, with dark circles under their eyes.
Their eyes held nothing but exhaustion and despair.
Their spirits were utterly crushed.
Ten days. Ten whole days. Did anyone know what they'd been through?
After Chaos woke up ten days ago, he ate, then used Life Return to digest the food and replenish his body's energy. For a while, he was back to his lively, energetic self.
Then he started showing off his Conqueror's Haki nonstop.
To Chaos, Conqueror's Haki was the ultimate tool for showing off. But he'd only just awakened it, and couldn't control it freely yet. That wouldn't do!
He had to master it right away.
So Crocodile and Stussy became his sparring partners. One person couldn't put enough pressure on Chaos, so they both had to take him on.
For the first three days, he activated his Conqueror's Haki now and then, in fits and starts.
But then the nightmare truly began.
