Chaos came to Sabaody seeking Pure Gold and used the auction to provoke the powerful pirates and Marines gathered there. After surviving Whitebeard’s beating and breaking through the Conqueror’s Haki trial, he left the Marines facing a choice by taking Saint Roswald and Princess Idoria hostage.

• Chaos fought Tsuru, then ended their clash after one minute and turned to face the Big Mom Pirates as other forces converged on Sabaody.
• Chaos trapped five CPO agents with Stussy’s help, killed four of them, and infiltrated the Celestial Dragons’ residence with Stussy and Crocodile.

• After the Five Elders ordered CP9 to dismantle Stussy’s organization, Chaos went to Music Island, recruited Dragon’s help, and had musicians record new battle songs.

• Chaos threatened the World Government through his wealth, while Number 10 injured Stussy and the Five Elders agreed to negotiate with him.
• Chaos defeated Belo Betty and recruited her, then mined Pure Gold and named himself the Dark Emperor as he planned to claim much of the Underworld market.

• Chaos lured the Lantern Fish with the Goddess of the Heavens and entered it with Kuma and Ivankov, finding Mischina Asier and the Pure Gold in his laboratory.
• Chaos reunited Asier with Olga, claimed the Lantern Fish’s gold, and escaped with them as the group drew the creature toward Sky Island.
• Chaos and his allies fought the Mantis King and Chameleon King inside the Lantern Fish, then Chaos killed the Mantis King while the Chameleon King disappeared with the creature.
