"Boom!"
A three-meter-tall giant body leaped from the pirate ship onto the merchant ship's deck. It was a burly man with thick eyebrows, large eyes, and sharp teeth. He wore an open-chested coat, sported a full beard, had three pistols tucked into his waistband, and held a gleaming broadsword in his hand.
A fierce aura washed over them, carrying a strong sense of pressure.
Many guards nervously gripped their weapons. Even the captain of the guard wore a grim expression.
Poison Fang, captain of the Poison Fang Pirates, with a bounty of 8.7 million Belly.
A bounty like this, 20 years later, would be at least 40 million, and he wasn't one of those frauds who only killed ordinary people.
"Who's in charge here!"
The two-meter-long broadsword slammed onto the ground. Poison Fang's vicious gaze swept across all the guards, a playful glint deep within his eyes.
"I am!"
The captain of the guard, clad in armor and wielding a spear, stood tall and imposing, staring sharply at Poison Fang.
As for the merchant ship's captain, he was hiding behind the guards, not daring to come out.
He was just a merchant ship captain, not a pirate captain. Besides being able to fire a few shots, he had no other abilities, though he might have been a bit old.
In this situation, they could only rely on the strongest on board, the captain of the guard.
"Hand over your treasure, women, and cargo, and I'll spare your lives."
Poison Fang's eyes were filled with danger as he looked at the captain of the guard and the tense guards surrounding him, full of disdain.
"Dream on!"
The captain of the guard didn't hesitate. He had traveled far and wide for many years and knew the greed of these pirates.
If they handed over all the treasure, women, and cargo, it would not only damage their merchant ship's reputation, but the pirates might also go back on their word.
Moreover, giving everything to the pirates in the vast, uncharted sea meant they definitely wouldn't last three days.
Unless the nearest island was very close.
But according to the sea charts, they were still two days away from the nearest island, and there was no guarantee they wouldn't encounter storms or other harsh weather in the meantime.
The weather on the Grand Line was unpredictable. One moment it could be clear skies, and the next, it could pour down rain. All sorts of strange weather phenomena were unavoidable.
Giving everything to the pirates was no different than waiting for death.
"Hmph! Leave the women, kill all the men."
Poison Fang snorted. He had observed the situation earlier.
This captain of the guard was the strongest among them. The other guards and ordinary people were not worth mentioning.
As for the strange occurrences his subordinate had reported, they were likely caused by a few stray shots. Even if there was a hidden expert, he wasn't afraid. Poison Fang was confident in his own strength.
"Kill these pirates!"
"Charge!"
"Kill!"
The melee began again, this time fiercer and more brutal than before.
Chaos remained standing at the entrance of the ship's cabin. With a slight flick of his index finger, the blood-stained Golden Needles, scattered in the corner, once again whistled through the air, reaping lives.
"Ah~"
"Captain, sneak attack!"
The scream was cut short. A pirate's temple was pierced, and he fell to the ground, twitching a few times before going still.
"Damn it, it's a sniper."
"Find the sniper's position."
"Yes!"
"Kill!"
Limbs and torsos flew, and hot blood splattered. Cold bullets whizzed through the air. In terms of combat, the battle between Poison Fang and the captain of the guard at the center was more captivating to watch.
Chaos continued to reap lives while observing the fight between Poison Fang and the captain of the guard.
Poison Fang's face was filled with amusement as he swung his broadsword like a cold light, sweeping away his enemies.
The captain of the guard narrowly dodged by leaning back at the last moment. A ship's cabin behind him was shattered as if it were made of tofu.
Chaos was somewhat surprised. Was that a slash attack?
The captain of the guard pushed himself up with one hand on the ground, his right hand gripping the spear and thrusting it like a viper, aiming straight for Poison Fang's heart.
Unfortunately, Poison Fang dodged it.
"You dare resist me with just this much strength?"
Poison Fang leaped high into the air, gripping his broadsword with both hands. His speed was undiminished, and his momentum was as ferocious and powerful as a beast pouncing on its prey.
The captain of the guard remained calm, dealing with the onslaught. Although he was outmatched in strength, he had the advantage in speed.
The two exchanged blows, the broadsword and spear clashing, sparks flying. The surrounding wind whipped up, scattering some corpses and barrel fragments.
"Ding!"
Sparks flew as the captain's spear blocked the attack overhead. His face was flushed, his feet sunk deep into the deck, and a trickle of blood leaked from his lips. The pirate, eyes bulging and veins throbbing in his hands, gripped his cutlass and desperately pushed down.
"Die!"
Poison Fang sneered, suddenly drawing the pistol at his waist and firing at the captain at point-blank range.
Even though the captain turned his head at the critical moment, the bullet still grazed his face, tearing away a piece of flesh. Poison Fang then sidestepped and kicked the captain hard in the chest.
Hot blood sprayed from the captain's mouth as he was sent flying, crashing through a pile of supplies. He lay there, his armor stained with blood, his face deathly pale.
"Haha~"
Having succeeded with the sneak attack, Poison Fang didn't get carried away. Instead, he immediately charged forward, intending to finish off the captain while he was down.
If he killed this guy, the entire merchant ship would be his.
Then he could pick and choose treasures, food, and women as he pleased.
Chaos, who had been watching all of this, sighed. Poison Fang was already slightly stronger than the captain, and with his cunning and treachery, this outcome wasn't surprising.
He couldn't just watch anymore.
The golden inner armor on his body softened and flowed out from his pant legs, transforming into a giant golden sword. With a flick of Chaos's finger, it shot towards Poison Fang with a whistling sound.
"Who's there!"
Poison Fang was highly alert. Sensing the whistling sound, he immediately brought his cutlass up to his chest. Just as the giant golden sword arrived, an immense force pushed him back, nearly causing him to fall into the sea.
"Found you."
Chaos's move had clearly given him away. Many pirates nearby immediately looked over, all of them ferociously charging or firing their guns.
The skin under Chaos's clothes rapidly turned golden. He pulled his hands apart in the air, and the giant golden sword quickly split into numerous fine golden needles, which rained down from the sky.
All the pirates stopped, their mouths watering as they looked at the golden needles in the air.
"Fall!"
He pressed his hands down, and the needles descended like rain. Amidst cries of terror, they pierced through the pirates like unstoppable forces, turning them into sieves.
"Go to hell!"
Poison Fang's eyes bloodshot, he charged forward with his large cutlass.
At the critical moment, Chaos vanished using Soru, reappearing beside Poison Fang and delivering a powerful kick. With a crack, Poison Fang screamed and was sent flying like a cannonball into the ship's cabin, causing screams.
Some people hiding inside fled in panic.
Chaos's expression was calm. With a movement of his right hand, the golden needles embedded in the deck began to float in the air, reassembling into five golden longswords that hovered above his head. The surrounding pirates were already lying on the ground.
After all, the guards hadn't just stood by; they had taken the opportunity to strike while the enemy was down and capture them.
"You've angered me."
A fierce voice echoed from the ship's cabin. Poison Fang, dragging his large cutlass, spat out a mouthful of blood, his face filled with ferocity as he glared at Chaos.
The five golden longswords all pointed at Poison Fang. Chaos let out a mocking smile.
Bang!
Poison Fang charged forward fiercely, firing five consecutive shots from the pistol in his left hand.
Chaos willed it, and one of the golden longswords descended, transforming into a shield that hovered firmly in front of him. The other four golden longswords shot out.
Clang, clang, clang~
Poison Fang roared, his large cutlass actually deflecting the four golden longswords. He reached Chaos and, raising his cutlass high, brought it down with a sky-splitting strike.
Chaos remained unfazed. The golden shield transformed back into a longsword, which he grabbed with his right hand and blocked overhead. As the immense force pressed down, cracks appeared on the deck, and even Chaos's jacket was blown back.
He thought the opponent was supposed to be strong, but after a few exchanges, Chaos realized he could easily defeat him.
I'm actually very strong!!
