The management office was still underground, so there wasn't even a single window around it.

The dim lighting made the atmosphere oppressively heavy.

Glaring coldly at his bodyguard, Song Hang couldn't help stepping forward a moment later to take the receiver from him.

Unfortunately, there was no dial tone, and the buttons didn't respond at all.

"Looks like we can't contact the outside world for now."

The next moment, he turned and nodded at Tan Ying, put the phone back, and let out a long breath.

"Then there's no point staying trapped here. We should go back upstairs and figure out what to do."

Though disappointed, Tan Ying wasn't unable to accept reality. She decisively proposed they leave.

Song Hang nodded silently, his eyes flicking toward Fu Qian.

Tan Ying had seemed to value Fu Qian's opinion throughout, but he had barely said anything.

If it had been someone else, Song Hang might have thought the oppressive atmosphere had left him unwilling to speak. But at a glance, Fu Qian looked as if he were strolling through a shopping mall.

When Tan Ying also looked his way, Fu Qian shrugged. As the mastermind behind the scenes, he naturally had no objections to Tan Ying's suggestion.

The group quickly reached a consensus and retraced their steps.

Song Hang's bodyguards led the way, moving with a hint of impatience.

Humans really didn't like being trapped.

Huh... Where was everyone?

They found the elevator and rode it back. The moment its doors opened, the group all froze.

Unlike when they had left, the enormous mall was now completely deserted.

The crowds that had been bustling about moments ago had vanished without a trace.

"There were so many people just now. Where did they all go?"

Tan Ying was the first to speak.
