As the others’ wills began to succumb, Fu Qian used the group’s belief in his supposed demigod identity to resist the nightmare and drew information from Jining’s dagger.

• Fu Qian and Aiko navigated the warped corridors, then reunited with Jining and Li He, who had also been trapped while attending the Larrea family’s banquet.
• The group found a nursery filled with unnaturally aged Larrea family members and learned from Lui that newborn Benjamin had rapidly aged and reversed his growth.
• Lui lost control as an Immature Form emerged from his abdomen, and Aiko froze the creature inside his wound with her ability.
• Fu Qian proposed that the hidden force and the Tree Infants were connected, then used himself as bait by whipping Aiko to weaken her mental resistance.

Fu Qian investigated the Finger Ball with Ji Liushuang, exposing its connection to the White-Headed Holy See and destroying the calamity it summoned. He later followed a hidden trail of patterns and a gold coin to Oz and Lady Yingzhu’s Workshop, where he rejected their claim that studying the designs could grant the power to hunt deities.

• Li Weixuan supplied Fu Qian’s laboratory, and Chang Mo brought him the Finger Ball and records of its effects on victims.
• Fu Qian and Ji Liushuang tested the Finger Ball on Honma, using the Heart-Questioning Sword Prison and Clear Dream to reveal that Honma saw the White-Headed Holy See and found its influence pleasurable.
• Fu Qian discovered that the Holy See was linked to the Tree of Ecstasy, destroyed its manifestation and the gathered sea of desire with Golden Flames, and warned Ji Liushuang to document the Finger Ball’s danger.
• Fu Qian helped Veil enter the Sword Pavilion, then discovered that Professor Rob had secretly replaced one of its swords with a mushroom copy and urged Rob to return the real one to Li Weixuan.

Fu Qian entered the Workshop seeking the power of Hunting Deities and uncovered Ess’s forbidden experiments with the Vacuum Flower and the Golden Holy Garments. He contained the entity, received the Rift Smelting reward, and left the Warehouse before something interrupted him at twilight.

• Fu Qian refused to interpret the incomplete patterns, passed Lady Yingzhu’s test, and saw Sophia listed as the Workshop’s latest recruit.
• Fu Qian refused to sign the register and followed Lady Yingzhu and Oz to the Workshop, where Ess welcomed him and led him downstairs with two other recruits.
• Ess took the group through a winding passage and claimed the Vacuum Flower would awaken their true powers, but Fu Qian exposed the failed ritual and challenged her account.
• Fu Qian confronted Ess about the misshapen woman in the pool and deduced that she was Sophia, whom Ess had exposed to the Vacuum Flower for too long.
• Fu Qian examined the three fused subjects and Sophia, then used the Return Edict to test whether Sophia anchored the Vacuum Flower.
• Sophia described the Vacuum Flower before Fu Qian engulfed her in dark dregs, and the entity appeared to return to its container as Ess became its new anchor.
