Lu Yang studied the two spiritual chefs. They looked like they were meeting in secret on a street corner.

With that thought, Lu Yang broke into a warm smile. "Something came up on the way, but luckily I still made it in time."
"Sister Mengmeng, I have something to take care of, so I won't be able to keep you company. Let's meet at the inn tonight."
"All right." Yun Mengmeng found the sudden change baffling, but since the second-in-command had said so, she didn't feel she could ask too many questions.
"Please, fellow Daoist." One of the spiritual chefs gestured for Lu Yang to follow him, while the other stayed behind at the stall.
Lu Yang swept them with his spiritual sense and discovered that both spiritual chefs were at the Spirit Transformation stage. They also had a pair of horns growing from their heads.
Were they from the Sheep Race?
"They're from the Taotie Race," said the Undying Fairy. Lu Yang wasn't familiar enough with the Taotie Race to recognize them, but she knew them very well.
"The Taotie Race? Did they see me use Devouring Heaven and Earth just now and mistake me for one of their own?"
Lu Yang quickly figured out what was going on.
If eating dirt was the secret signal, then only someone who used Devouring Heaven and Earth could swallow it. By contrast, someone like Yun Mengmeng, who simply ate it, would be identified as an outsider.
Lu Yang followed one of the spiritual chefs out of the market. The chef opened a hidden door, and they entered a packed basement.
After Lu Yang went inside, the
